This was to replace a pair I've had for about 12 years, now mostly taped up with duck tape. The pair I replaced was Boss brand, bought at a retail store that featured work clothes and gear. Since I was unable to physically handle the product to help my decision, I relied on those reviews to get an idea of the quality of the rubber. I am not disappointed in what arrived today. This boot looks well made and stands uprightly without flopping over; something my old boots never did. Had I seen these in a retail store, I would have chosen them without hesitation. I wear a size 10 shoe, and got size 12 boot. They fit over my work shoes just as my previous pair of size 12 did. The height of the boot is 15.5", not 17; about 1" shorter than my previous pair. For my use, that will not be an issue. I can now throw out the taped up boots, and expect this new pair to serve me well. If they do NOT, I will add to this review at a later date to let others know. They are well made, and it was recommended to get them 2 sizes larger than your shoes. After wearing them I found it would have been better to get them maybe a half size larger and wear a good heavy sock because it's hard to get these on over your shoes.
