Perler Bead Patterns and Idea Book for Kids Crafts, 24 pgs

We bought this book for a little inspiration, and it definitely delivered! Everything from "girly-princess-stuff" to jungle & space themes, plus much more. Not only did the pictures (mostly pictures, not a lot of step-by-step,) give us projects to do, but we also came up with a lot of stuff we wouldn't have even thought of! We also bought a larger, square pegboard, as most of the designs can be done on these, without having to buy a ton of different templates. However, some of the curvy designs DO require a more specialized template (as we found out with the high heeled shoe my daughter was designing!)Speaking to the lack of individual step-by-step design instructions: some people might prefer to have each design "mapped out" (in which case, skip this book,) but I found it very helpful in that my kids had to exercise some critical thinking skills to count out the beads in the picture and figure out the layout themselves - great for counting skills and visualizing spacial relationships!So buy the book, get a large-ish pegboard and some beads and you'll be on your way!

NEED TO COME WITH A FEW PEG BOARDS

Cute book, but not very many pages. Feels more like a brochure. Also mine was had a light coating on the back that looked,amd felt like engine grease. I think this would be more for older kiddos, to get good ideas about what to make. Has all the holidays, and other themes as well. It's cute, should be 5 bucks though.

This is a pretty good book. My daughter liked having lots of ideas but we did find lots of other free ideas on the internet. I would be happy to buy it again though since I don't like her to have access to the internet when I'm not around and this way she can play on her own. I like that it tells you the the designs on the left pages are small and on the right pages are large. Great idea.

This Perler Idea Book is actually very well laid out. It shows different ideas (obviously), and gives you some patterns for some. It tells you clearly what board(s) are needed, and for the patterns, tells you how many of each color bead you need. What is fun is this gives you ideas, and if you don't like the colors used, you can use your own? It also gives you ideas of designs to make to make different scenes :)

Decent variety of ideas. I did think they would be more along the lines of actual-size patterns to put under a board for my 6 year old daughter but they are mostly just pictures like the cover. Great book for kids!

This has been a great book for my kids to get ideas to make their beads. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because some of the designs are fairly small and hard for my kids to see exactly how to make them. Otherwise, we've had a LOT of fun with it!

My grandson (5) has experience with Perler beads and uses this book for ideas. He actually takes the book to bed with him to plan projects. While the book has templates, that are to be used with 'clear' peg boards, he seems to like the other ideas depicted in the book. Unless you have a clear beg board, don't plan on using the templates.

This is a good book for various patterns. Different ones, something for everyone. Laid out in a simple way so children can understand how to make each item. Would recommend this book. I have a few of the same copy so children can use them and not have to share them. Easier that way when two children are making two different things.

Lots of great ideas in this book! It’s a little advanced for my 5 year old but he modifies the designs to his likes and ability. I enjoy working on the patterns as well; lots of really neat ideas. Some of the patterns require peg boards that are larger, but we just work on the ones we have the boards for.

My sons (6 years old and 7 years old) have found this book to be a great source for ideas. They have had no difficulty recreating the designs from the pictures in the book

Picked this book up for my granddaughter to go with her beads. She started making some of the pics right away.

We liked that this book gave so many different ideas and scenes to build with perler beads.
