READ THIS OVER OTHER REVIEWS. a lot of people say these still tangle. But they don’t if you use them right. What a lot of people fail to notice. Is you can loosen the part my fingers on (see attached picture). If you have them too tight it won’t move around freely. I have mine only on about a turn and a half from falling off. Buy doing so it gives the sliders more room to move around freely. I have have zero issues. Rather other people put them tight then the sliders can’t slide. So don’t do that. I would buy them again. Good quality easy to Put on. Works for a 1” metal or wood pole. Ect.

I've bought 5 flag poles with plastic rings and NONE of them have survived moderate use (I even take the flags in on especially windy days). This are solid, sturdy, well engineered and work on the horrible poles I had before (I just cut the original rings off). I just got these, so it's unusual for me to put I a review for something that I've not had a chance to test throughly, but I am SO impressed with them that I really have a hard time imagining them breaking.

These are easy to put up but make sure you give the flag some slack (ie don't pull it tight) so it has room to rotate. I read everyone else's reviews about needing lubrication on these.. well I tried to make them work without lubrication first and it worked.. for about a day. So you screw the two pieces as tight or as loose as you want around the center piece which holds the flag. As the flag spins in the wind, I found that the bottom of the flag unscrewed and the top of the flag screwed in tighter. So eventually the bottom completely unscrews and travels up and down the flagpole in the wind while the top tangles around the flagpole. It did this every 1-2 days for a while as I tried every combination to correct it. Spoiler alert: buy the graphite everyone is talking about. It should actually be a mandatory purchase if you add this to your cart. I got a 2.5 oz can of 3-in-1 lock dry lube which is at home improvement stores for only $1 or $2 and you add a drop to each of these, screw the two ends very tight, and boom, problem solved. Glides like a breeze now, no issues in weeks. Very good product IF you add lube.

Easy to use, adjustable for any size flagpole. Good quality and great appearance. Not sure about the durability as we have just started using it. Will try to post additional info when I can assess how well it takes to the weather.

I am a retired Aerospace Design Engineer with 45 years of experience in manufacturing. I found these to be well designed and very well made. They are also clear anodized and I can’t find any imperfections nor short cuts causing any substandard execution of the design. Don’t except you flag to never wrap around the flag pole. These are not 100% effective, but they do work to a high degree.

The jury is still out on this product. The aluminum clips were easy to install and should last a long time. However, my expectation was that the flag would not wrap around its pole. While these clips worked better than my previous clips, the flag did wrap around its pole during heavy winds. On a few occasions, the flag did unwind. The clip is comprised of 3 pieces: the clip that connects to the flag, the based ring that attached to the pole, and a rotating ring that holds the clip and screws onto the base ring. On one occasion, soon after I first installed the clips, the upper rotating ring unscrewed from the base ring allowing the flag to slide/collapse down onto the lower clip. I reinstalled both clips after firmly tightening the rotating rings onto their base rings. This seems to have eliminated that problem.

Bought it to replace the one on my flag pole because they where plastic and didn't work well, spent more time untangling the flag than enjoying seeing it proudly flying. These work great, got some for my mom's flag as well, they are a quality product and work, recommended

The second set, same problem. The rotating rings failed. The hole where the carabiner rode was destroyed by friction. The carabiner must be too rough on the thin aluminum ring. I'll not use the carabiner, but a nylon zip tie so that is sacrificed.

Product was advertised as promised. The clips are metal and they work well on my flag pole. Suggest that you measure the diameter of your flag pole to ensure they fit. You do not want it too large. The flag tangled once but was corrected automatically when the wind blew the flag the opposite direction. Rust has not occurred and I live in a rainy climate. Worth purchasing.

I had a flag pole that already had the rotating clips to stop the flap just wrapping itself around the pole. We get a lot of high winds at times and finally the plastic parts just snapped. Short of scrapping the pole and buying a complete new one, these offer a way to repair the pole. They seem solid well made items, and as long as you get the right diameter for your pole they are easy to fit. I am still debating drilling a hole for the securing screws to go into, or just live with the friction fit, but my flag pole is fairly thin metal so it my compromise the overall strength in windy conditions. This has been used in some windy conditions and works very well, no real issue, but 2 observations. First was t mount the clips with the part that unscrews up, I had one facing down and in the wind it did unscrew and slipped down the pole, flag stayed where it should as the bottom of the flag could not slip further down as the top one was secure (and maybe the instructions tell you this?) The other note was that I am considering applying a "little" blue Loctite just to stop the clips unscrewing in the first place. But overall nice solid product, works well, and if you want to make your own flag pole a great option for the clips.

They are fantastic! They are sturdy and fit perfectly. NOTE: If you want to make sure that your flag stays tangle free and the threaded ring stays in place, wrap the mounting ring threads with teflon tape or a dap of blue locktight. Leave a gap is big enough between to the 2 rings to allow the carabiner to swivel around freely and you should be fine!

Well made. Solid. Work well. Eliminated wrapped flag on pole.
