I purchase Augason for quality food. Lactose free??? Someone actually shreds cardboard and paints it yellow? **Q: How long does it last once it's opened** A: One our items are open (If they remain stored in a cool dry area and NOT reconstituted with water) they should last up to 1 year. Once opened and reconstituted, normal cheese storage times should be maintained. **Q: How much product is in this can?** A: This is a gallon can . It was full to within 1-1 1/2 inches from the top. Unless you eat cheese sauce on everything this can should last to a couple of months once opened **Q: Can this be repacked into Mylar Bags w/Ocygen absorbers to extend shelf life once the can has been opened?** A: I see no reason why not. However; I have no plans to open or use it. This is a long-term storage product for me. Check with Company as to best way to store after opening.
