Nintendo Switch Lite review I believe that ingenious Nintendo engineers predicted that Switch will be the only serious gaming handheld console after PS Vita’s retirement. I am an experienced gamer starting who began his gaming adventure back in 1992 with my first NES console. I usually do not play on mobile phones as the vast majority of games offered there are too shallow to keep me interested for longer than several hours. What can I tell about Nintendo Switch Lite after nearly 1 year of use? 4 words will suffice: Best ever handheld console Nintendo Switch Lite is a sister console to “big” Switch. The difference is clear – both in console itself and also in price. Switch Lite is a handheld only console. It does not offer an option to play on TV screen. The console itself is slightly bigger than a 200g chocolate bar and measures approx: Width: 8.1-8.2 inch, Height: 3.5-3.6 inch, Depth: 0.5 inch. Switch Lite has a 5.5” 720p (HD) display which is an optimal choice for this size of console and does not drain the battery instantly. Specifications wise: - CPU/GPU: nVidia Tegra based custom chip - RAM: 4GB LPDDR4 - Storage: 32GB eMMC memory - Addtitional storage: accepts microSD/HC/XC memory cards, up to 2TB capacity - Connectivity: Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz networks, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards), Bluetooth 4.1, USB-C, standard 3.5mm headphone socket - Input devices: built-in (integrated) controller, capacitive touch screen, supports external controllers - Battery: 3570 mAh - Speakers: built-in stereo speakers - Games delivery: custom Nintendo cartridges and digital eShop purchases How is Switch Lite in real use? It’s one of the best handheld consoles ever made, if not the best. Upgraded hardware allowed for new generation games being developed on it and also allowed for some spectacular conversions from other platforms (like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in example). Switch Lite and “big” Switch share the same games catalogue and there is no difference in CPU/GPU/RAM between them. There are several exemptions, games which won’t work with Switch Lite due to handheld only built but 99% of games work with absolutely no issues. Battery wise: Built in battery allows for 3-7 hours of play, depending on the complexity of the game of course. Would I recommend Switch Lite? If you are looking for hanheld console – 100% yes. Switch Lite is 30% cheaper than “big” Switch and shares the 99% of game catalogue. There is no reason to buy a big Switch then, in fact, Switch Lite offers better battery life than a “big” Switch in handheld mode If you want to play mainly in TV mode and handheld mode is only an addition – then buy “big” Switch, but be prepared for a lot higher price to pay. Overall score: 10/10 – for amazing gaming experience which you can take everywhere you go. Don’t buy one of you want to see your kids. They absolutely love it and at times it’s fantastic but getting the children off it is the challenge. Kids seem to navigate it easily. Great size and we love how portable it is, games can be expensive but we buy a lot via vinted

Perfect size for a bit more portability for my switch family! Even if you have a Switch 2, with so many games with cloud back-up and still compatible with Switch 1, it’s great when you wanna take your games without carrying a very large, expensive console!

Item arrived today. Packaging was in perfect condition, no damage to the box or item. Brand new Switch Lite. Came with the Nintendo charger (UK plug). Console is working perfectly, updated the software, runs smoothly. Easy to use. Overall - I'd give this more than 5 stars if I could. I'm glad I finally bought this item.

Wouldn't know as the system was dead on arrival and didn't come with a charger. The company I purchased it from Tech Is Here Ltz has since changed their name to levitating ltz. They gave me a refund on the missing charger but once I got a charger the system turned out to be dead with blue screen and due to logistical issues I wouldn't have been able to return it in the return window so I ate the loss. Don't buy third party from Amazon nearly 90% of their third party sellers seem to be fraudulent or at the very least the bottom barrel of companies that don't certify their products even work.

This is a great unit, but this seller will send you a Japanese version, which in it's self is not a major problem, but you get a Japanese charger with a UK adapter. Very odd. Works well though. Seller should be ashamed of himself.

I already own a PS4, so when the Nintendo switch first came out I saw no point in buying it as I didn't need another device for my TV despite the other options it had for it. So when I heard about the lite I was intrigued and especially with the release of animal crossing. See, when I was younger and the handheld Nintendo become the thing to own I had one, and I had animal crossing and played it for quite sometime and loved it, until I lost the game, and eventually stopped using my DS. So hearing about animal crossing and the other game options for the lite excited me. I also currently travel a far bit, so can't use my PS when I do, making the Nintendo the best option. I like the size, does however take a little but getting used to the controllers, otherwise it is honestly awesome. Great addition to the Nintendo Switch family.

Bought as a present for my daughter so it's more of a review of the console as a parent. Perfect console for kids. It has a good collection of AAA and indie kid friendly games. The menu is really easy to navigate for children. You can put parental locks so to speak so children cant play certain games. Also you can put a timer on the switch lite itself so you only allow an x amount of time for the child to be on it in a day. You can customise this so they can play longer on weekends for example. The portability is fantastic, easy to use and reach each button without and restrain on your hands (so far atleast). Although I believe the battery life is not bad, it would have been nice just for it to last for an extra hour or so, however again, this is for my daughter who is only allowed on it for so long in a day so it's not a problem really. The only con I really have with it is that there are no apps like netflix, like previous generations, however this is a portable gaming console so it's not much of a con just something to bare in mind. Honestly though if you are a parent and thinking of getting a switch lite for your child, I would definitely recommend. It is all you need and the restrictions you can set are easy to use.

COVID-19 begins Me: How's everything? Can I swing by to grab my switch? Bandmate: I tested positive for COVID-19 :( Me: Looks like you just bought a switch then! So that happened, and I ended up buying a Lite (because the regular switch is just too hard to find now) to get some gaming time in. It feels way more durable with the embedded joy cons than the regular Switch with detatchable joy cons did when playing in portable mode (I swear I thought I was going to snap both off when playing Smash Bros on the go!). The screen is slightly smaller, and there's no way to output to a TV, but it's still a terrific system and a very much needed little distraction right now. Note that since it doesn't support TV mode, there may be a few games that won't work on it, so check which modes the game supports before buying. Battery life isn't the greatest - depending on the game I could get 6 hours (West of Loathing) or 2-3 (Zelda) on a single charge. Strangely, mine came with power adapters for various countries, so perhaps it's an international SKU? I didn't check, but that's my best guess. The turquoise wasn't my first choice in color, but since at the time Yellow was out of stock, I bought this color and now am glad I did. I think the yellow would've been too distracting and bright to me. The turquoise is pleasant and brings calm when I play.

It is the best console for gaming, It came boxed and was new, But it came with a Japanese charger which is fine because it uses a c type usb, Trusted sellers, and you should buy it as soon as possible because nintendo is increasing the prices of their consoles.
