It really works! It's made of a special material that stays cooler than the ambient temperature when it's wet, so it's better than just using a regular towel. I ordered this because it's been so hot it was making me angry all the time and I needed a solution. I still wanted to go outside to get my steps and it's also hot all day in the house. This Chilly Pad really helps me feel cooler and more comfortable where I'm not overheating and sweating 24/7. It does get hard and crunchy when it dries, which is why it's shipped slightly damp in sealed plastic. I would sanitize it and store it a little damp in a zip loc probably. It really works and is an inexpensive solution to be able to do things when it's really hot. It stays damp for some hours also.

AMAZING!! I have not had the chance to use it yet, but will next week on the golf course in FL as it is getting hot. the reason I bought it as last time I golfed I got so hot and weak...l was putting ice under my shirt. last year I did pass out once, quite scary! When this arrived on my porch, I opened it up and it was cool, even after being wrapped up and sitting outside all day! l told my husband I was ordering it and did he want one for his golf... being a man, he said no! LOL. well, after it arrived and he felt how cool it was and having just come in from golfing being hot, he said, "I'm going to get one too". I bought one for him for Father's Day!! I like that you just get it wet, wring it out and voila... it's cool... no need to refrigerate or ice!

Absolutely the best cooling towel I’ve bought. This towel stays chilly, for hours. It’s very durable, kind of like chamois material. It stays cold but not wet feeling. It’s not very heavy, but it is heavier than other cooling towels. But the difference is, this one actually works. Where I live it gets to 110 plus degrees. With this towel I am able to be outside longer. It stays cold, even in that heat. When it starts to warm from body heat you just shake it around a bit and it cools again. The only noticeable issue is the color got a bit off on parts of it. But, I didn’t buy it for it’s looks.

Pleasantly surprised by how this towel kept cool at a theme park, it even did relatively well when we could only wet it with warm water. The only thing is, we're a bit befuddled about how to store these long term since when you air them out they turn into stiff boards, the shape that they were dried in.

Great for Outdoor Pickleball Games! This keeps me cooled down between games. I put it on the back of my neck and forehead and wrists. Takes about five minutes and then I’m ready to play again. For extra relief, place in ice water between play. I stuck it in the freezer and it froze solid so I wouldn’t recommend that. It’s normal for it to get very stiff after it dries just re-wet and go. The link is very good to wrap around your shoulders as well. Material is super soft and stays cold. Mine is odorless, even after use.

Works fantastically. It does smell a little like chemicals when you first open it so you'll want to wash it first. Dont put it in the dryer as it gets hard and crunchy when it is dry. Always loosely fold or hang to dry. It isnt flexible when dry, but you don't want it to stay wet if it is stored long term. Thats how you get mold/mildew. When you are ready to ise it, wet it with plain water and it springs back to life and works like new. Ill be buying more. If it is really hot outside and you are going to stay out for a long time, I recommend bringing water to re-wet it as it will dry out as you use it. The evaporation keeps it nice and cool. If it ever feels warm, hold one end and swing it around a couple times and the airflow will cool it down very quickly. Love it so much. Great quality, nice and soft and spongey when wet. Lasts a long time too. Very light weight even when wet.

I work at a warehouse and also I take the bus a lot and wait outside, this keeps me so cool and is way more compact than some bulky neck fan. Also the texture of the fabric is so nice, really sensory soothing for me.

Tore easily, the first time we used it. But, it does do well for cooling.

I remember a friend who was wheelchair-bound recommended these to me. The first ones I bought were like shammy leathers - hard when dry but put them under the tap and they go soft AND HOLD THE WATER IN for maybe a couple of hours. Put round your neck and it is like having a cold towel that does not dry in the heat cooling you down. Tried to buy more recently and they seem not to sell them I think because they were made from something not so good like PVA. Tried the microfibre cooling towels but in comparison these were no good. Then I found this online and yes - back to that shammy-leathery stuff that really works. Can't recommend enough for a hot day.

I love this product although it arrived in PINK not purple. Ironically I wanted pink to match my wrist bands anyway so maybe the Amazon packer read my mind! The product itself is excellent. We get a lot of heat waves in the summer so this works great just to drape around your back and shoulders or chest and shoulders to help cool down. You can also wrap it around you legs, arms etc - anywhere that is feeling particularly hot. This might be beneficial for someone with a heat rash or hives as it soft, cool, wet and feels great on your skin. It comes in a plastic reusable sealed tube - you store it wet so it is ready to use whenever you need it as well as it travels well in a beach bag, backpack etc. After buying this through Amazon, I have since found this same brand/product in outdoor sports stores but was happy to see I saved a couple bucks buying it through Amazon! This would also make a great gift idea for someone athletic or who spends a lot of time in hot climates, work environments etc. It stays cool for hours - as it dries out, I either spritz mine with a water bottle to keep it moist or submerge for a minute in a sink/bowl of water. Washes nicely by hand with mild soap and water.

We have owned Frogg Toggs for years. If well cared for they last a very long time. They have been a life-saver on hikes and 4x4 trips in hot desert like conditions. Highly recommended to keep you from overheating by placing the wet cloth around your neck or over your legs.
