I have a mac book pro can i use this device to connect 2 monitors individually? extended not clone display

Yes. This product supports 2 extended displays from a MacBook. I had this setup. Note of caution: Two external displays (basic Dells, not even 4K) and a 1TB external drive caused performance speed and significant battery drain. With all three plugged in, it could take 10-30 minutes for my MacBook (purchased new in 2020) to boot up. At one point, with 2 monitors and a USB drive, my MacBook would not boot up at all! Apple Support confirmed the hub and peripherals drained so much power, the MacBook could not boot up with everything plugged in.

Can I connect 2 laptops, one connected to the monitor and usb keybord+mouse combo and the additional laptop just to power up from here?

Hi. No, that configuration is not supported by the dock.

does this work on desktop that has usb-c input?

I bought this to connect my laptop to some monitors. My laptop only has USB-C input. It worked with that so I assume it would work with a desktop as well.

Has anyone tried to connect 2 monitors to a mac over hdmi at 24 hz? any luck?

Hi, D. Baldwin. The Belkin Thunderbolt 3 Dock Mini HD, F4U098 is a docking solution that connects to your computer via a single tethered cable. It has dual HDMI 4K ports at 60 Hz that allows you to connect two 4K monitors to your laptop, to experience fast, high definition visuals across multiple screens. This dock has a 40 Gbps data transfer rate that is eight times faster than USB 3.0.
