Update International FP-20 French Press, 20 Oz

I avoid using plastic cups and plastic anything now that everything is sold in plastic. This allows me to make a single or double cup of coffee easily with no plastic after effect. If you are careful you have no coffee spill, the selling point of those small plastic cups. Disposal of used grounds in my garden helps the plants and the planet. The price on sale was wonderful, less than a week of plastic cups and a lot less than the many moving parts needed to run the small plastic cup machine. Plus this one looks nice on the kitchen counter without the need to plug it in.

We accidentally broke our last French press and have been looking for another one for a while now. We happened to stumble across this one and were incredibly impressed especially for the price! The directions are easy and simple to use. The style looks very nice, and the flavor of our coffee is great. What more could we ask for? It looks exactly like it does in the picture which was a relief. It is also larger than other French presses I have seen. If you are looking for a cheap good quality French press grab this one.

As far as functionality goes, this French Press performs very well, just as well as two of my Bodums. However regarding the filter screen which is part of the Filter assembly; the whole in the middle of the screen isn't reinforced where it passes over the Cross Piece (this is the threaded piece that the Plunger Rod screws into). The center whole in the filter screen is therefore prone to damage. Also, the Plunger Rod could me machined just a litter better so that it more easily mates with the Cross Piece. The real bad news is that if you break any part of the French Press you are out of luck. The manufactures does not provide any replacement parts. All in all, you get what you pay for. It is much less expensive than many of the other Presses out there. It was worth the money.

The steel lid contains a plastic thing inside, it will touch your coffee when you go to pour it unless you lift the lid up a bit. We specifically bought this french press because it seemingly had no plastic in it besides the handle (and a reasonable price of course). (Picture is posted) Works fine so far but would be better if the screen press reached a little lower. Lastly, the steel ring at the top is very flexible, it wasn't a perfect circle when we took the glass out but we were able to bend it back in shape. (it could be helpful in gripping the glass??) Good size though, two servings for me. Oh yeah, but like others have said, the screen only goes down to an inch above the bottom. Mmmm, silty...ALSO!! Not stainless inside, the metal inside turns black, -can be scratched off but that's pretty scary.Made in China, if you're wondering.

Cheap but gets the job done. Warning hot glass; would not recommend to the accident prone. It will break.

Works okay as far as a french press goes. There is a problem with the lid. The not that holds the plastic insert in the lid to the lid comes unscrewed and causes the insert to fall down making it next to impossible to pour without reassembling it. This has happened several times when serving. There are better presses available.

Great French Press for coffee or loose tea. Love it. Glass is a bit thinner than expected so seems fragile but so far so good.

The first French Press I recieved was broken. I contacted the seller and they asked for pictures and withing one week I had a replacement. Very good customer service! However, I think I like plastic French PResses better than the glass. I used a friends plastic one and it seemed to keep the coffee hotter for longer than this one does. But I stil like it. It's small and only makes 8 oz at a time so I just pour it in a bigger cup than usual and drink it more quickly.

Buen precio, pero es muy fácil que se rompa, la penúltima que tuve se rompió con un golpe muy ligero con una cuchara, el precio es bueno y es fácil de remplazar, mantiene la temperatura caliente mejor que otras y es bonita, de manera que es opción para remplazarla, pero es algo frágil.

Pésima calidad del producto. El filtro es de diferente diámetro de la jarra ( más chico), lo cual provoca que haya bastante juego entre ambos. Esto deriva en que no cumpla una de sus principales funciones, que es filtrar los granos de café... En fin, ya inicé mi devolución. No pierdan su tiempo comprando esto.

Es súper fácil y rápido hacer café, la calidad es muy buena, ya he comprado varias para regalarles a mis familiares.

Se safa muy rapido el filtro, hay que estarlo apretando constantemente
