Iroshizuku inks are an interntional standard - Tsuki-Yo no exception
Very well mannered ink with great flow, quick drying, and no tendency to smudge as some highly saturated boutique inks are prone. This moonlight blue has just a hint of teal when dry - very beautiful, but not out of place in a pure business context. Iroshizuki offers desirable subtle shades of color with the well behaved, unfussy standard performance in most pens one has come to expect from Pilot, Pelikan or Waterman inks. I'd characterize this ink as very "wet" free flowing, but doesn't feather excessively on even cheap copy paper or card stock better suited to ball points. I've tried in several pens ranging from Pelikan m800 XF to m1000 F to m800 M. Definately likes Pelikan F best. XF is thin and Spidery, but that's my general complaint with this nib. Medium is typically my daily go to writer, and it's effortlessly smooth, flows beautifully, but is right at the edge of too broad a line to be neat and legible. I'll load a Namiki - Pilot 742 F next, with expectation this nib will be right in the home row for this ink. Only disappointment was a Namiki Falcon soft-Medium, which left a line so broad to nearly be illegible on most any paper stock. That's not unusual with free flowing inks in this pen, but was worth a trial. This ink will replace Waterman Mysterious Blue in my rotation. Both are similarly well behaved, but moonlight is a warmer, more natural and desirable shade with just a bit freeer flow. Fast shipping and service from Amazon's partner supplier. Bravo. Well done.

Fuyu-syogun, Highly Recommend!
I got the fuyu- syogun color. The ink is very pigmented and writes beautifully. (I got it on my hand and it won’t come off right away! Try not to get it on your hand). It’s like lighter side of charcoal gray color, almost like a pencil. Dries pretty quick so it doesn’t smudge too much ( and I write with my left hand!) **See picture for color sample** The bottle of the ink is very beautiful and it’s a good size. The opening is big enough to dip your fountain pen in to draw up the ink. I used Pilot Con-70N converter in Pilot Kakuno fountain pen. I would recommend this ink to everyone who likes gray shade colors.

A beautiful blue color
Been using a fountain pen for the first time and this is my first bottled ink. Works well with my pen, easy to fill it in my pen. Quality of the ink is great and no problems with consistency. A great value for how much your getting

Not your garden-variety red
I was a little worried that this ink would write as an ordinary red (like any dollar store ballpoint red, you know?) but I'm amazed at how lovely the color actually is. It's a mesmerizing red with a somewhat cool undertone, tipping it ever so slightly in the direction of plum while still being undeniably red. It drew wonderfully into the converter of my fountain pen, and the container has a luxurious feel with a hefty, secure cap and quality glass. I look forward to exploring other colors from the same line!

Excellent ink in excellent color, works flawlessly in all of my fountain pens.
Pilot Iroshizuku inks are pricey but well worth it. They perform well in all of my fountain pens and are of consistently high quality. The bottle is beautiful and makes a nice conversation piece on my desk. The indentation at the bottom of the bottle for the nib to rest in during filling is a nice touch. Shin-Kai is one of my favorite colors. It is a classy blue/black that can be used on any official document as well as everyday use. It goes on somewhat brighter blue and then dries down to a darker hue. If I could only own one color of ink it would probably be Shin-Kai due to its flexibility from formal to casual. If you have never tried an Iroshizuku ink, you will be pleased but spoiled with this one. I like to mess around with different brands for fun and experimentation. So far I haven't found a brand that is better that Pilot Iroshizuku.

Perfect “Pencil-Look” Fountain Pen Ink — Soft Graphite Style Without Looking Washed Out
I specifically wanted a fountain pen ink that looked more like graphite or pencil on paper rather than a normal black ink, and Kiri-Same absolutely nails that look. The color is a soft warm gray that stays readable without becoming overly dark or harsh. It has a brighter, cleaner appearance than some darker gray inks, which helps keep handwriting easy to read while still giving that muted pencil-style aesthetic. Like most Pilot Iroshizuku inks, performance is excellent. Flow is smooth, startup has been reliable, and it behaves well across different nib sizes and writing styles without feeling dry or scratchy. It’s also a very versatile color. Works well for journaling, sketch notes, annotations, everyday writing, or artistic use where a softer look is preferred over heavy black ink. For reference, my writing sample/video was done using a Jinhao X159 on cheap dollar-store paper specifically to show how the ink behaves in a more realistic everyday setup rather than premium fountain pen paper. Even there, readability and flow stayed very good. As a left-handed writer, I also paid attention to smudging and dry behavior during normal writing use, and it performed well enough on cheap paper that I was comfortable using it for everyday notes. The 50ml bottle is a good size and should last quite a while unless you write heavily every day, and the glass bottle itself feels premium and easy to fill from. Not the cheapest fountain pen ink out there, but the combination of color quality, smooth performance, and bottle presentation makes the value feel justified if you enjoy specialty inks.

Flows well in a TWSBI.
This ink flows well in my TWSBI fountain pen. I also have asa-gao, take-sumi, and murasaki-shikibu. However, momiji seems to flow the best for the fountain pens that I have. I would definitely recommend. Also, I should mention that it is a nice crimson shade that isn't overly harsh like the red ink that comes with a Platinum Preppy beginner fountain pen.

Solid Fountain pen Ink. PILOT Iroshizuku Bottled Fountain Pen Ink, Shin-Kai, Deep Sea (Blue Black)
Just my opinion, but outside of some of Pilot's colors, I've not been disappointed with how the Iroshizuku bottled ink work in my fountain pens. I've got a number of them, so it's not just a random claim. Of course, the paper comes into play also, but what ink you use in one of your pens may not behave in the same manner as another fountain pen. Purchase many or a few fountain pens, and use them on a variety of fountain pens with different nibs, and it easy to see it's isn't always about the pen, it's name, or nib grind, it's the ink the hits the road, er... paper. Pilot inks are darn good, and no so expensive. The bottles look cool (?) and function to help you get most of the ink out of the bottle. (not perfect, but what is?) The Blue/Black is a darker ink which is what I like.

Tinta japonesa excelsa
