Fun, creative toy!
I bought this for Christmas for my two year old niece whose favorite book is about making pizza with her grandpop. Everyone absolutely loved this toy on Christmas morning - really it's fun for all ages. The materials are high quality (as "high quality" as felt can be anyway) and although I don't think the cardboard pizza box it comes in for storage will last very long, it is a really cute idea. We adults liked the concept better than my niece, though. As you can see from the image, the set comes with a pie cut into 4 single slices. Each slice has it's own set of toppings (e.g., there are 4 tomatoes, 4 cheese, 4 broccoli, etc.), which are exactly the same, except for the peppers, which are four different colors. Anyone who grew up with siblings understands that it is important that each is identical, or else you run into the whole issue of "he has more than me!", or "but I wanted the blue one!".My niece absolutely loved making custom pizzas for everyone in the family. We got a kick out of the fact that she thought the brown sausages were "cookies" and the white onions were "marshmallows". She made grandmom "eat" a marshmallow broccoli pizza. Yum.I bought it for the fun, but it also has educational value. My niece is two and she loves counting and matching and sorting by color. The box says it's recommended for kids ages 3+, but I think it is safe for a child younger, if they have interest. I can't think of a way a child could hurt him/herself with this; the pieces are larger so even putting a piece in the mouth would not very likely lead to accidental swallowing/choking. Obviously I would never tell anyone to ignore the manufacturer's recommendations, but I felt confident in my decision to give this to a 2 year old.I would definitely recommend this toy.

Excellent quality
We purchased this to have at our home when our two year old grandson came to visit. He loves it!There are so many topping choices. He is having such fun taking our orders and preparing our piece of pizza. He’s done that numerous times with us. It looks very realistic. We like how it comes with an authentic looking pizza delivery box, which is also a great storage container when not in use. We’re thinking our older granddaughters will enjoy it also when they visit.

Great, Durable Toy - 4 yr old Niece LOVED IT
I would of rated this toy a 5 out of 5 stars, however, in the delivery, the pizza box was damaged. The product was delivered in an amazon bubble envelope package, when it would be better if placed in an amazon box with proper inflatable padding. Other than that, this product is FABULOUS. My 4 year old niece loves to pretend to cook and so she was so excited to get this toy. The toppings are cutout nicely and even detailed with screen-printing on top to make it even more "realistic". Durable and so very cute. Highly recommended.

Speech-Language Pathologist Review- Pizza Party!!
Speech–Language Pathologist Review:This Melissa & Doug pizza set is a great toy for the child in your life! The felt pieces are well-made and the pizza box makes for great storage for all of the ingredients. This set helps with building vocabulary, choice making, following step-by-step directions and increasing creative pretend play skills. Our family has a pizza party every Friday night and my daughter loves to create pizzas right along with us!For parents/caregivers who are wanting to expand their child's receptive and expressive language skills, here are some ways to play with this toy with the child in your life.- While making the pizza, offer your child choices of different pizza toppings, "Do you want pepperoni or olives?" Bring the topping choices close your face, so your child can see how your mouth creates the sounds. This activity will help build vocabulary for the names of the toppings and encourage your child to use words or gestures to make a choice.- Pretend to order a pizza and give your child 1 or 2 step directions of how you want your pizza made. Example directions, "Put peppers on top of the pizza" or " Cut a slice of pizza and then put it on my plate"- Spread out the toppings and ask your child, "Where's the pepperoni?" Or "Where are the olives?" This activity will help build receptive language vocabulary.- For early learners who are not yet talking, model "mmmmm" or eating sounds as you both pretend to eat the pizza. Pretend the pizza is hot and "blow" on the pizza. These simple sounds and actions will help build imitation skills needing for speech and language.Happy Playing!!!
