We have had this for only a few days...easy to install, works well for my 96 yr old father who lives with us. We initially purchased a soft-seated, four-legged riser seat but that is a pain to move around when it's a busy household with people of all ages using the toilet. This is a much better solution for us, but if my dad lived alone and it was for his use only, the riser would be best.

Strong. Works great. Easy on and off. Recommended for someone who needs to use their arms to sit or get up.

This was the pefect fit. Just follow the the direction my wife said. Extremely easy to setup. Probably took me 15 min. I tried the handles, I even placed my hands on the bars and the bars held all my weight, and I'm 200 lbs

This item works quite well. I needed to add a safety support on a toilet for an elderly father who had recently taken a fall in the bathroom. The design is simple and sturdy. And, it's also a great alternative to installing grab bars. It does have some very minor flex and wobble, but that is due to the adjustable spring loaded bullet catches at the rear of the frame where it attaches to the toilet. Not an issue, really, and it does flex outward very slightly as well, but is still very secure. The pieces go together quite easily, and are secured by thumb screws and bolts. It comes with an instruction sheet that has diagrams only. Be sure to assemble the bolts and washers in the right order and direction. I had to do this a couple of times before I got it right. Very simple design once you figure out which piece is A and B. They are labeled on the arms. The mounting system is quite good. it is a piece of solid aluminum, with a tubular channel which holds the two halves of the arm rests in place. You just slide them in and click them in place.It has two detents, one wider and one narrower. The front of the arm rests fit right on top of the rim of the toilet, and under the toilet seat, and have vinyl sleeves to protect the toilet. It fits very well on our oblong American Standard toilet from the 1980's. The existing toilet seat screws anchor the aluminum plate firmly to the rear of the toilet, and it fits very well. It works fine with the easy clean seats that you untwist to remove and clean. I would say this is a very good and simple design, and the price is right. I would recommend it. I like the fact that it attaches directly to the toilet, and that the arms can be tilted up an inch or so to make cleaning the toilet easier, and if necessary you can remove each arm by unlocking the spring catches and sliding them out. Very nice. Mine arrived in good shape. No rust issues, and the vinyl sleeves did not fall off. I am quite satisfied with this support rail. It does the job, and does not require you to modify your bathroom in any way.

This was a great purchase! Well made and sturdy. My mom is so happy to have it. Said it has made a world of difference. Much better than the hand bar she has on the wall.

1. The one we received had been returned and the name and address of the person who had returned it to the company, was included on the paper that was in the box. We were hoping the unit was ok. Unfortunately, it was defective. The holes did not line up correctly for the bolts/screws that go on the back to attach the arms to it. They also wouldn't tighten. The one black plastic piece broke when trying to install it. Very flimsy and disappointing.

Easy to install and very stable.

I fell an injured my hip which required surgery. My first surgery was in 2018 and I bot a portable toilet which was expensive, uncomfortable to sit on and a pain to empty after. I had my son carry it to the bathroom (it had a cover) then I emptied it! Unfortunately, I needed a second surgery this past April and decided to try this model instead and it works well for me. I like that the size is adjustable because I have a very small bathroom and I wasn't sure it would fit, but at the most narrow length it's fits perfect. When I say my bathroom is small it is so TINY that I can't imagine any bathroom where this wouldn't for. In the front the arms can be moved out of the way. This is good for cleaning the toilet and for the most part it is secure, but has slipped of the porcelain causing the arm fall down twice when I put weight one it. I'm strong enough that I didn't fall but if it was an elderly and/or frail person this might be dangerous. There wasn't any damage done to railing, and I always check that the arm is sitting securely on the toilet rim before I sit. The back part attaches to the back of the seat and has been securely attached with no sign of coming loose since it was installed two months ago. The arm rails are nicely padded which makes it more comfortable to push up on; especially in the beginning when I used mostly upper body strength to stand.
