I use this on a boat dock to pull a 500 lb boat onto a dock. I literally dropped it in the lake and pulled it up by the cord. Works fine.

I bought this winch on April 4 to pull my trailer + boat (total of 2500 lbs) in my garage (10 feet) with a small inclination of 7% (for 5 feet).First, when I opened the package, I noticed that the winch had already been used, a few scratches where on the bottom... But I was not worried about it as it could be a simple refactoring and I'm fine with it if it is working.I used it 5 times (every 2 weeks). It was working like a charm, I have been impressed by the power and quality even if it is kind of slow. But that’s k when you use it only once in a while.But the 5th time (yesterday, May 13), it has been very dangerous, almost scary. While I was pulling up the boat, it started to be crazy hot and smelling burnt. So, I stopped it (as it was described on the product it could happen if you used it more than 3 minutes - which was not my case but I know I needed to stop) but the winch released the cable, no safety brakes.... Luckily, I was surrounded of friends who could put blockers during the move. But without brakes - very dangerous. I will send it back, as I guess there is a warranty and get my money back to get a manual winch. I cannot trust this one. An unsafe release like this one could have been very, very dangerous.

Used this to replace the hand wheel on my Shore Master boat lift. Worked excellently. Like the freewheel clutch design. This winch is far superior to the Shore Master winch at less than half the price.

Excellent purchase. Heavy duty 2700 lb winch and it works great. I should of ordered the remove switch with it but will order that as an option later.

This is an awesome winch. Takes nt old Hygain 55 foot crank up tower up and down with ease. The speed is perfect.

This is great.Use this to pull 8 by 3foot chunk of tree out of lake. Its great.For an 110 winch its great.
