## Description

The PowerLung Sport is the original model PowerLung designed for those in superior physical condition. For those engaged in strenuous, competitive training activities, the PowerLung Sport offers the maximum levels of resistance for breathing and breath management training. More resistance and adjustability than any product that creates resistance by restricting air flow. Please choose a different model of PowerLung -- Trainer, BreatheAir or AireStream -- if you are train regularly but are not at a superior level, if you performing artist, or someone whose activity is moderate to light or beginning. Select the PowerLung Sport if you have the physical conditioning of a Navy SEAL or professional athlete in peak performance. Review: Better controlled breathing - Every person should have their own! If you’re an elite athlete, weekend athlete or even a couch potato- these are the best! I have been an er nurse fore 35 years and I increase the use of mine in cold and flu season. I love it for skiing as well as cycling and paddle boarding. Some may be surprised at what breathing- training, can do for performance and endurance
Review: great piece of equipment - I bought my first powerlung 10plus years ago, it's held up well, but I have lost a piece due to my infant son. I bought a second one due to their rediculous protocol on replacement parts, mailing it back and fees. My other gripe is the difficulty cleaning it. It is a chore, and imo should be done each time. Then they suggest buying their cleaner, I have not done this, but just use fresh water and my fingers to manually clean it then semi dry with a paper towel. Getting the exact same reading for resistance is then a chore. I have used it sporadically, but when I use it regularly I do feel a difference in exercise capacity. If one is any type of fighter, I would suggest buying and using this. The current instructions imo seem less than desirable for a fighter. I would modify the protocol to be more specific, like 25-50breaths of 3-5secs in and 2 secs out, for 2-5rds, 2-4x wk. I did notice a higher ability to take punishment to the body, I attribute this to the more conditioned core muscles that could take more punishment and spasm less after taking body shots. The current suggestion for usage is imo not worth it unless your goal is to blow up water bladders. Maximal strength is not my goal for my lungs, it's muscular endurance. With regular use I believe this drops my run times as well. If you've done 400m splits you know what I'm talking about, your lungs feel likely to burst on the last 200m. If you want peak performance buy it and use it. Get a better routine as well, imo one closer to the demands of your sport. pros *greater conditioning *greater ability to take punishment to the body cons *cleaning - for sanitation and health I do each time - slow, regular, dissassembly then reassembly, they suggest their cleaning product *parts replacement requires sending back entire product with a fee of about 1/3 the product *hard to get exact resistance if one reassembles or changes *bad routine suggestion

## Features

- Train stronger respiratory muscles to increase oxygen with every breath to increase your training endurance.
- Get lower cardio and respiratory rates plus increased lung capacity let you train at a higher intensity for longer periods.
- You'll gain stronger core body muscles for deeper, better breathing with better breath management for competition and dynamic balance
- Train your Inhale and Exhale muscles in the same breath using patented independently adjustable and interchangeable Resistance Cells. Never limits you to training inhale only or exhale only
- Like Weight Training for Your Lungs(R) because it uses Progressive Threshold Resistance to train. Never restricts your air flow like devices that adjust by making the holes smaller to restrict air flow.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome
*by C***. on October 3, 2010*

I'm getting ready for Army Basic Training, so obviously I'm doing a ton of cardio to prepare. I was already in shape before buying this, but after I started using this I have noticed a considerable difference in my lung capacity and how hard I'm breathing. I go hike a TOUGH mountain trail near my house at least twice a week and I can definitely notice a difference in how much less effort I'm putting in to breathing, as well as my legs even burning - which I think is due to my body oxygenating so much better. Definitely recommend it if you play any type of sports, you're military/future military, or you just enjoy staying fit.
