Norton FibaFuse Paperless Drywall Tape

Ordered this because I ran out of the “old” drywall tape and this is miles better. Blends well with 45 mud and makes a tough bond when taping corners or crack repairs. Works so good I bought another role.

Works great when you prefill a flat joint area

This product is durable and easy to set in mud. If you're a novice this will go on much smoother than paper tape. For those who are more experienced that their ability makes this a reasonable alternative to paper tape. Make sure you take precautions to protect your skin because it is a fiberglass product and just like fiberglass insulation it may break off and cause small splinters in your skin. Don't expect to use this in corners! It makes for a nice tight butt joint.

This is the easiest way to tape drywall seams, especially for DIYers. The only drawback is that it doesn't hold a crease well to use in corners.

Used on a drywall ceiling repair. Only needed about 6 ft so there's a lot left over. It works SO MUCH BETTER than either the fiberglass grid type or the paper tape. Significantly less compound was needed. The task went faster and required less sanding. We were completely pleased with how the repair turned out.

I like everything about this product. Adhesion is great, easy to work with, light weight, seems very strong. If they would make it for use in corners it would be the perfect product

Used it for taping all corner and butt seams in my new self build, excellent results.

It’s a very good product, but you must wear gloves as it’s made of fiberglass. Make a very strong bound for flat joints, no bubbles as the mud penetrate the fiber. You cannot use for corners as the is no crease on it.

Does what it says on the tin, IMO better than scrim tape.

This is not made of paper. It is made of some plastic fibre like the synthetic fabric they make airplane headrest liners. It works differently than paper tape, so when you spread the mud on top it can look textured. You have to go over it again. It did work fantastically with the taping machine, though, because it could carry a lot of mud. I got used to it and ended liking it.
