NintendoPlaying Cards Round Fu Tengu Black (Japan Import)

My son and I play this game 4 or 5 times a week. We love these cards and the illustrations are beautiful.

Study cards, appropriately sized, clear and bright printing, instructions included, in Japanese, as you would expect. well made and sturdy card case, so traveling with the cards is easy.

These are exactly like the Hanafuda cards we used growing up. I am teaching the kids to play this and they love the game! I plan on purchasing each of them their own set soon. The colors are great on these and are as sturdy as hanafuda cards can get!

handsome, sealed packaging. Cards came in a silver cardboard sealed box, which was inside the black and tan plastic box which can be opened from either end using a "push" tab to spring open the door. Each card has a slightly textured black backing that wraps around the edge of the face to form a neat black border around the picture. The card faces have a matte finish. I'm bringing this to work tomorrow for some lunch time koi koi!

I need to print out the game rules in english but thats because I am a single language speaker.

Came as advertised, sealed. If you're looking for poker-sized cards, these aren't it. Designs and colors look good, feel is sturdy and I'm sure they'll hold up for quite awhile with regular play, but these aren't high-value collector's items.

I miss the old wood box it used to come in. I guess I'm just an old fart. The cards are very nice.

My dad and I used to play Hanafuda, so I was eager to get my own deck --Unfortunately, time has changed and these cards are not the same. The designs ARE the same, but the quality of print and material are much inferior to what I remember. I should have expected that, with a low price like this. I will look for a better quality version.
