Loooove this bag!!! Great for day hiking!
I wanted to wait to review this bag until it's had some practical use, and that came a few days ago when I wore it to a local parade. I wanted something that was sturdy, not unduly hot in summer temps, lightweight enough to wear for hours at a time, and of course, large enough to hold the items I wanted to carry. My primary purpose for this bag is (1) to take with me when we go on outings with grandchildren, and (2) to carry essentials when day hiking in mountains. Let's start with the grandkids! I wanted to be hands-free to support the kids in their first parade experience among a lot of strangers. When they darted into the street to grab candy that was thrown by participants, not once did I worry about the bag staying on me or restricting my movement. It was securely on, comfortable, and I didn't give it a second thought. Secondly, I wanted to make sure that all the items stayed where I'd put them as the bag was jostled. I had my phone, money, personal items like lip balm and OTC meds, and supplies for kids such as small toys to keep them occupied if the start of the parade ran long, as well as snacks (pre-candy) and wet wipes. There was plenty of room for all of that with room to spare. I mostly wore it with the bag in the front because that was comfortable to me, but I did try switching it to the back to see how the comfort and wearability was. Both worked fine either way. I'm really excited to use this when I go on day hikes in the mountains. I don't need the bulk or size of a backpack, and I don't find them comfortable when I'm hiking anyway. I usually carry a DSLR camera slung over one shoulder. Because this backpack is a crossbody, it works well with a crossbody camera strap. The bag can be arranged to actually support the camera to get less bounce, while keeping it accessible. When hiking, I'll have my phone, keys, water bottles, snacks and a sandwich, personal items, extra camera equipment, a lightweight rain jacket that compresses tightly, anything else that the weather suggests such as a stocking cap and gloves. All of that will be a tight fit but that's exactly what I want. I want the smallest bag necessary to hold the things I feel I need to take on the hike. This bag fits that description perfectly! I had a hard time choosing the color of the bag but I went with the color that was the most fun to me. Maybe black would have been more fashionable, a brighter color more feminine, gray to be more color coordinated with my attire, but this color is fun, and that's what I went with. It does not disappoint. Some people have suggested that the bag has a smell? Maybe from shipping, only when it's first opened. I take no issue with the way it smells, and can't imagine that it would retain an odor in the great outdoors even if it had one to begin with. I love this bag! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. The price was good for this level of quality.

Versatile bag for toddler moms
I love love love this bag. This replaced my diaper bag once my babies got a little bigger. It’s the perfect size. Can fit a pack of wipes and some snacks perfectly for those quick outings. Also can hold their sippy cups and water bottles for trips to the amusement park. I actually love the top clip as we clipped my daughter baseball cap on it after she got sick of wear it at the park. There is also a hidden RDIF hidden zipper pocket that is a game changer for storing a tiny wallet or credit cards while out. I take it everywhere… shopping trips, amusement parks, hikes, dance class, parades, county fair. Can’t recommend this bag enough.

Great for Hikes and small activities
I got this for my trip where there would be a lot of outdoor activities and hikes. I picked this because a reviewer mentioned having neck/shoulder problems and this cross body didn't give them any neck strain. They were right. I ended up using this cross body 6-8 hours a day with zero problems and even having to pack a change of clothes much to my chagrin. While I majorly regretted not bringing a bigger backpack for excursions I made it work and the bag worked with me. While it would have been helpful to have a bigger backpack, I liked how compact this cross body was with a lot of deep pockets and helpful compartments that hold quite a lot with easy access. While I don't recommend this for full day excursions for hikes I highly recommend it.

Waterfly Crossbody Sling Backpack
This is perfect for what I was looking for. I bought this for a vacation instead of carrying my regular purse around. I have a large purse (13"Lx9.5"Hx5"W), and I can fit 95% of my stuff in this sling backpack. I especially like the pocket on the strap for my phone. The bag sits lower on my back than I'm used to so the pocket on the strap is closer to my face than I'd like, but it's not bad enough to aggravate me much. The mesh side pockets fit a decent sized water bottle. It's durable and holds up to the abuse I gave it. I wasn't sure I'd like this, but I LOVE it. Highly recommend.

Works for CCW
Took on vacation for a week. Works well. I was able to carry 2 16.9 oz water bottles, pocket knife, handful of hard candies, pack of gum, wallet (& separate work credentials wallet), car keys (has a built in key leash), 4oz thing of sunscreen, and my EDC g43 with an extra magazine (I am authorized for this carry type- check your laws before you do it, be safe!). This fits in the inside pocket that is close to the body. There is no dedicated area for an item like this, but it fit fine in the holster- just resting there next to my creds, but secure within the bag. Still was able to quickly accessand draw after a little practice. I felt comfortable carrying this way, and felt it was secure and easy to access if needed. There was room for my big phone (S23ultra) as well- in the opposite larger inside pocket- but I kept it in my pant pocket. Is easy to access to all pouches while wearing. Was comfortable with the bag sitting on front side, sort of hanging under my left arm- near the waistline, if you can picture that (about 10 o'clock on my waistline). Fully loaded it was heavy- but that's my fault not the bags, after all I had some items most folks won't be hauling around. There were no issues with zippers. Liked the front open pocket, I was able to add a 3rd water bottle in there but that added to much weight for my preference and kept just the 2 in the side mesh pockets. The strap is half padded. When i tried to wear the pack with it on my back, the non padded portion of the strap was uncomfortable against my body. I actually preferred the pack in front to the side so it was fine for me. It has a sunglasses pouch on the strap. I kept my shades on my hat when not wearing , but I can tell you it held my wife small insulin kit (pen, needles, alcohol wipes, spring lance, cotton balls, etc.) perfectly. The only thing I'm concerned with was the stitching- while I didn't see anything coming undone, looking at it under full load it seems to have alot of stress on the stitching points. No failure yet but if it does happen I'll advise and update here. The zippers and pockets seem well secured, and provides enough security for my stuff. Strap length is good and plenty for me. Overall would recommend for anyone looking to go on a pocket diet. It was very nice to wear loose summer pants with minimal stuff in the pockets (and waistline- my CCW people know this!). Takes a minute to get used to this thing on your body, but was well worth it. Will use again whenever we go somewhere where we'll be doing alot of walking. Comes in alot of colors and there is no smell on mine as someone else reported. For reference I'm 6' around 230 (give or take:-))

Front storage is great, useful small bag
The front section is what I use the most for holding a phone or other valuables in a place where you can keep an eye on them. The back, main part is useful too. This is a small backpack but slings on easily and weighs very little when empty, so it's no problem to put on when taking a walk, on vacation, etc. Neutral appearance looks better than most 'fanny pack' type bags, more sporty than some other bags you'd use on vacation or hikes. The slightly padded strap is comfortable on your shoulders, although I never put anything really heavy into it. If this kind of smaller backpack meets your needs, this one is a winner.

Solid everyday sling with a few design flaws
I’ve owned my Waterfly cross‑body bag since 2023 and have put it through plenty of use—nature hikes, day trips, and travel through several European cities. It has held up well, and for the most part it does exactly what I want. The size is just right for me. I wouldn’t want it any bigger. It fits my Kindle Paperwhite and a small notebook with no trouble. The main compartment can even hold my 24‑oz Owala bottle, which surprised me. The side bottle pockets, though, are too tight to be useful. The strap pocket can fit my iPhone 15 Pro Max, but because I wear the main pack in front, that puts the strap pocket behind me. I don’t trust that in crowded areas, so I keep my battery pack there instead. A few things miss the mark. There’s no hidden back pocket for a passport or cash, which is something I really want when traveling. There’s also no zipper locking on the main pouch. The front pocket has a vertical zipper, and I’d much rather it open from the side. There’s no RFID protection either. Other Waterfly bags include it, so these must be updated designs, even if I’m not sure how much I truly need it. The biggest issue is the latched front pocket. It’s too loose. I’ve bent over and had things fall out—glasses and sunglasses both. I just bought a Skysper sling that’s almost identical in size and layout, but it fixes the problems that bothered me: it has the hidden back pocket for my passport, RFID protection, a side‑opening front zipper, and a tighter latched pocket. After comparing the two, I can see how much those small design choices matter. The Waterfly is still a good, durable bag, and I’ve gotten a lot of use out of it. But for travel, I needed something a little more secure.

A cross body bag that outperforms for its size
This is an incredible bag- It allows me to pack all the family day trip items (umbrella, tissues, sunglasses, water bottle, etc.) while the multiple pockets keep it all instantly accessible. Everyone keeps remarking that they cannot believe how much fits in it. My family thinks it was a genius purchase!

Excelente producto

Great little pack with lots of compartments
I use this little sling bag every day. It’s especially useful now that the weather is warmer because it takes the place of a purse and leaves both of my hands free!
