YOU NEED CURT MFG PART # 56406 **Q: Why does this and the similar Hopkins 42465 say only 97-01 Cherokees? Are the connections actually different for 89-96 or are they the same?** A: They changed the wiring in 1997 jeeps the plug n play is different. **Q: Trailers left flasher works on my other vehicles but no left flasher on Cherokee with this connector,all other lights working anyone have any ideas?** A: I had the same issue and it turned out to be the flasher module that was under the steering wheel had gone bad. I replaced this and the Jeep and the trailer left flasher started working again. **Q: I installed this on my 2000 XJ and the brake lights work, but not the turn signals.
