Lovely book will lift your spirits
I've become interested in Bhakti Yoga over the past few months and have been reading voraciously on the subject. This book takes everything I've read in academic detail and distils it into a beautiful, inspiring, simple, poetic book that contains the essence of all you really need to know. My copy is already dog-eared because I carry it around everywhere. Highly recommend. So much wisdom and beauty and depth of spirituality are packed into this small book. Purse or pocket sized, perfect to carry around for when inspiration is needed. A treasure.

Amazing knowledge by Swami Vivekananda
In India we were just told that swami Vivekananda was a great thinker but were not taught any of his knowledge.Somehow after reading parts of Yoga Vasistha by Swami Venkatesananda, listening to Bhagvad Gita talks by Swami Suryapada there were some questions on Karma yoga and I bought Swami Vivekanada (as I wanted a more innocent approach and not a contemporary approach to it).The Karma Yoga by Swami Vivekananda was so wonderful, I underlined paragraphs in it and read the passages again and again.Bhakti Yoga was the most obvious next for me... and it is as wonderful as the Karma yoga book.If you are ordering it online, my advice order all 4 - Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga and Jyana Yoga together at one time.

This book provides the reader with a simple but profound path to the Divine.
I've been reading this book for over twenty years. I turn to it often. It's the best book on devotion to the Divine that I've read.Swami Vivekananda writes with insight and profound knowledge. This book provides the reader with a simple path to the Divine. Bhakti Yoga is the simplest and most direct path to the Divine, no gurus or religious belief systems are required, only love for the Divine.

Almost laughable
I bought this book several years ago, and loved it. That is not the problem, although I haven't read the contents yet. The almost laughable part is that years ago I got a nice size, sturdy covered book. Today, I opened it to find a flimsy pamphlet half the size, and figure it'll make it for about 6 months. Live and learn I guess, and be more discerning.

Just what I needed.
I'm on my second reading of this book. There is a lot to absorb and appreciate. My desire to add Bhakti to my practice prompted this purchase, and I'm glad I bought this book.

As good today - Bhatka Yoga
Read in 1980. It is as good as it was then. Did not realize how significant Vivekananda was at the time. Bhakti Yoga is the path of Devotion, or Love.

Too bad of the poor print quality
Great book but low quality print

Not worth the price
Itโs like someone copy paste a part of a complete book and make money making this book. Poor printing quality and I donโt think worth the money.
