desertcart.com: Aquarium Plants (CompanionHouse Books) Essential Guide to Choosing, Planting, Feeding, Propagating, and Growing Fish Tank Plants with Expert Advice on Water Quality, Lighting, Substrates, and More: 9781931993548: Peter Hiscock: Pet Supplies Review: Quality material - This book is really helpful for explaining aquarium plants and identifying species. It helps you map out your aquarium and describes the needs of individual plants. Very happy with my purchase Review: Comprehensive reference! - I just purchased a new 75 gallon aquarium. For the first time, I wanted to have only live plants with my tropical fish. This book was a great reference, I took it to the shops and used it to make smarter purchases than I would have made without it. I did spend about $250 on plants, fertilizer, lighting, and special plant friendly substrate. My tank looks simply fabulous. And after four weeks, my plants are thriving. Using this book is the way to do it.

Knowledge
Using this book on Aquarium Plants has been a great teaching tool for our students, to identify aquatic plants and understand the process of photosynthesis and respiration. Our program which is non-profit organization called Urban Awareness for Marine Conservation(UAMC). Give inner city youth the opportunity to study Marine and Environmental Science. We use aquariums to create and study different ecosystems. We teach Science,Technology,Engineering, and Math (STEM). This four major factors are very important to maintain our ecosystem in the aquarium and outside the aquarium.

Lot of info
But not enough on actual plants and requirements. This is more a giant coverage of plants in general. Not to specific on a plant

Good book for beginners or as a refresher
For a beginner, it gives you enough information to get started with by covering topics like, why live plants are beneficial, how they help control byproducts of keeping tropical fish such as nitrates (product of decaying fish waste), why you should be using aquatic fertilizers for healthy aquatic plants, even a few design themes for arranging aquarium decorations and plants for a somewhat natural environment for the area your fish originated from. For myself, it was a good refresher after being away from the aquatic lifestyle for 15 years. Are there better books out there on the subject of aquatic plants? Yes, definitely. But not in the same price range. Do I regret buying this book? Nope. Not at all.

Not the best quality
These came in fair, but died after the warranty. I am not sure if I didn't do something right or te poor quality of these plants
