Excellent for small print or drawing with beautiful colors
precision lines for writing or drawing…especially good for writing in small print. I’ve used these for more than 25 years and they are by far the best pen I’ve ever used. Purple and Blue are very distinctive…purple for non-official documents and blue or black for official documents. Just don’t leave the caps off or they may dry out (at least temporarily). Otherwise these things last forever it seems. I only buy a package every 5 years or so. Great price for what your get. Japanese precision quality.

My "go-to" pens since I can't remember when...
I don't know how long I have been using these pens--but it's been a long time. They were my pen of choice for hand-grading papers. Now that hand-graded papers are somewhat a thing of the past, I still love these pens for everyday use. The color is a deep, bold purple. The tip is tough and sturdy, and the line width is great--easy to see but small enough to be able to write in tight spaces. The ink does not "bleed"--it's nice and crisp.

Works very well
Exactly what I was looking for. Fine point, writes smoothly, comfortable to use with my arthritic finger, fine point, in otherworldly words, perfect! It would be even more perfect if they had the exact same pen but in a retractable version!

From doodling to crosswords, one of the finest thin point pens ever made
It's a reunion of sorts for me with the classic Pilot Razor Point pen. I didn't know they even made these anymore! Way "back in the day", I used to doodle drawings around the edges of my notes while in class with my trusty razor point. This was during the time I was infatuated with Rapidograph pens for drawing and the Razor Point was a great approximation built for common use. These pens followed me into business (where I still doodled drawings during endless boring meetings) until I lost track of a supply. When my not-as-thrilling mass market Pilot Precise V pens started underperforming recently, I went on trusty Amazon for a solution. I was stunned to find my old friend, the Razor Point, still available. Nowadays, I use these babies for crossword puzzles. With everything shrinking in the newspapers of today, you need a seriously fine point to write with in those tiny boxes. The Razor Point always provided that and still does today. Plus, it remains one of the finest smooth-writing pens in the business. Economical but efficient, the pens still give the confident, smooth line of yesteryear. Although I've never had any problems with them, these are super-fine nibs, so if you're heavy-handed in your writing style, there is the possibility you can splay the tip and cause a sloppier line. Hard-pressers beware, this is a tool more suited to an even pressure style. Rollerballs are better for the hard-pressers. I am super pleased to have my old writing friend back. Now if I only had some classes or meetings to go to so I could doodle again!

My favorite pens in the world!
My all time favorite pens! I buy in bulk and keep in my purse, the car, in the nightstand, on the desk, in the kitchen. The ink is instantly dry, smudge-proof and fine line. Love them!

My favorite pens, I never thought I'd find them again.
When I was a kid, my dad brought home some pens from his work that I absolutely loved. They were just the best pens I had ever used (before or since), and I used them constantly until they were all gone. After that, I could never find any other pens that were anywhere near as good. I couldn't even remember their name. As an adult, I spent years going into stores and trying to find the pens my dad had brought home as a kid. Finally, I found them on amazon: the Pilot Razor Point. These pens are by far the best pens I have ever used in my life. There's nothing else even remotely like them. It's probably partially a matter of personal taste, but I absolutely love these pens and never want to use anything else ever again. I read some of the other reviews and saw that a lot of you guys had similar experiences, your dad or grandparents or something brought them home from work, and you fell in love. That seems to be the classic story of how people end up finding these. Once you use them, nothing else compares. These things are real classics, I guess they've been made the exact same way in Japan since the 70s. They've been made that long in the same way because they're so good, and because people love them. They might not be everyone's cup of tea, but you should at least try them. As for me, I stocked up just in case so that I never have to use anything else.

Volle Wertung also!
