The Farm Book (A Golden Super Shape Book)

Love it! Great pictures and simple explanations of daily life of a working farm!

This book was a favorite with my two boys as they grew from infants until they were about 6 years old. When we read this to the boys, we always asked them to point to other little things we saw on pages. They had great fun finding the extras. My boys are grown now, so I ordered this one for a young nephew for Christmas. When it came in I reread it aloud to them...yep, it's one of those books that even now, after all of these years, they still remembered it and asked to look through it again. LOL.

Love this book....you can never expose your children to enough books. It will be given as an add on to a large barn/farm animal set.

Very cute book. I gave to my son for his third birthday, as he is obsessed with farm animals. He seems to really enjoy the illustrations.

Read this to my children and wore it out so had to buy a new one.

I first saw this book at my in-laws. My daughter loved it and so I purchased it here for 3.99. After being read multiple times a day and carried all over the house by a toddler, it is in rough shape but still the bedtime favorite. I like the simple, vintage illustrations, and there is just the right amount of text on each page for babies/toddlers. It is a classic farm book. Highly recommend.

I am a speech pathologist. I found this book to be very useful for eliciting language samples from my young students. People of both genders were doing things on each page. Each page was simple but full of details, with nice vocabulary opportunities. Lots of fodder for gathering language productions. It was also just the right length for a diagnostic sample. Nice layout too.

I bought this book for my four year old nephew, because I remember loving this book as a child. The interior of this picture book is much as I remember it--charming illustrations & simple text describing life on the farm--but the book is now square shaped, with the illustrations merely painted on--while the book of my childhood was actually cut into the shape of a barn--and, of course, that novelty was part of the appeal of the book to me as a child. Nevertheless, its still a charming title especially, as other reviewers have noticed, if you are looking for a book that talks about, in a very basic manner, the work that people do on a farm, as opposed to just mentioning the names of animals & the sounds that they make.

Easy read

We live on a farm so this book seemed fitting. We've had this book a week, I've read it about 400 times already, and my almost 3 year old son almost has it memorized. A new favourite for sure.

Love the retro illustrations, really lovely book.

Love the book, it's simple, the story is great and the image are beautiful. I just wished it was a hard cover, would be better for my baby.
