England, March 1215. King John is visiting the castle of Sir Ranulph Fitzwilliam. The arrival of the TARDIS disturbs a medieval joust, but the Doctor and his companions are proclaimed to be friendly demons by the King, who seems strangely interested in their “blue engine.” It soon becomes clear that neither King John or his Champion, Sir Gilles Estram, are who they pretend to be. One of the Doctor’s oldest and deadliest enemies threatens the future of democracy on Earth, and he must be stopped! Review: Doctor Who - The Kings Demons - What the heck??? This is a good story, a TRUE Doctor Who Fan wouldn't CARE a bit what some people write. Doctor Who is GREAT, old, new, which ever Doctor you choose, I don't care what some intellectual wannabe critics say. Yes some are better than others, but this is a good story, and entertaining to boot. Review: Review of DVD - I like this story I simply did a search to look for more classic Doctor Who DVDs to add to my collection I hadn't bought a Peter Davidson one in a while and I came across this one I enjoyed it there's the typical pretty solid assortment of extra features that were fun to watch and listen to it as well

A medieval twist
I bought this because I didn't really remember this story from the Peter Davidson years. The TARDIS lands in the time before the Magna Carta has been signed. Sinister forces are afoot and it doesn't help that the locals call the Doctor and his companions 'demons'. Just who is behind things happening and to what end? A good story that I rather liked. Must watch!

If you want to watch serious devotion to the acting profession you see it displayed here i this episode of Dr Who, who needs CG.
Not the CG kids are use to but the quality of the time period is well formatted very well and the story board is well established on a enjoyable story-line. I have enjoyed Dr Who from the first, and that joy and attachment has followed my immediate family 3 generations and I am so happy to find so many friends enjoy the series as well. I miss the days of watching the original doctors on public television. I am so thrilled the series has only broadened its appeal.

perfectly enjoyable.
enjoyable for me. it was a lot better than I expected. while Tegan is not my favorite companion, still an enjoyable story to watch. I actually like these earth stories a lot, as much as the space stories, tbh.

"Demons", the Master, plus some jousting and swordplay ...
It's an intriguing, yet tight two-parter set during Medieval England, around the time of King John. The packaging reveals the Master is part of this srerial, but how he does is up to you to watch. The way it plays out could have gone to three episodes, but is wrapped up on the quick side. One unique element - the introduction of another character during Peter Davison's tenure as the Doctor. The extras provide some interesting insight.

As much as I've tried to get into the 5th doctor and his stories, this one doesn't help. Now don't get me wrong, I like Peter Davison as the doctor, but frankly I feel that he didn't get the best stories and I didn't like how producer John Nathan Turner was guiding the ship. Not even the inclusion of the Master helped this two part story.
