Great headset comparison
The nokia bh503 headset is my third headset. I first purchased the jabra bt620s then the nokia bh501 and based on my experience with all three headsets I would recommend this one the most. Here are my reasons: Nokia bh501: Ultra light most comfortable, but not the best quality. They get louder than the jabra but also have limited function keys. You can only adjust volume and answer calls. Call quality is superb. (used for 3 years) Jabra bt620s: Overall best quality. The music playback is on another level of sound technology. I could hear details that I never noticed before I used this headset. They can charge using mini usb and they can be used as wired headphones for a computer. The problem is they are too heavy and hurt my ears after a little while. Another issue is the flashing blue lights that bother everyone around you. My main issue with this headset is that the sound wasn't loud enough. (Used for 4 years) Nokia bh503: These fall in between the two for sound quality. The bh503 headset has the best base and is has very detailed sound quality. It has the same function controls as the jabra and it gets very loud. I just got it a few days ago and I am impressed. They go great with my Nokia n8 and use the same charger. As a runner weight is important and these are just right. The nokia n8 sound controls such as the stereo widening function and the equalizer work great with this headset. Calls are better on here than the jabra. Overall the weight:quality:call quality:battery:function ratio is better on this headset than any other of its class. It is built to last and I highly recommend it over any other headset. If you are a runner, weight lifter, or just someone who is in love with wireless headsets this is what your looking for. They also look the best.

Great sound, durable, comfortable (Additional info for Nokia phones-Read if you own a Nokia phone)
This is really a good piece of technology, it sounds great, is much better that any other headset I tried, I would say it really sound like it was intended to hear music rather than talking. If there are no walls you can go around 14 meters way, I think is very far and convenient, I can left my phone on the desk and move around, go for coffee and even to the bathroom, I can move freely though the floor on my building. The thing that I like the most is that is very comfortable, I don't tolerate earphones or headsets for too long, but I use the BH-503 all day, I really like music and I have my phone full of hours and hours that now I can enjoy at work. They fit very well on the head and they can support themselves, you can even move them up to your ears if you feel too much weight). They look and feel very resistant, is mostly made of a kind of strong rubber, they are flexible and durable (as it should be considering Nokia's reputation). *If you own a nokia N8 or other nokia phone you may find the following useful: The only bad thing is that when I first received and tested them they sounded great with music but I was not able to talk or make a phone call with them, the phone (Nokia N8) was able to call, but there was no sound and the micro wasn't working either. But all I just needed to do was to update the phone's software to resolve this. At the beginning I was disappointed because both are nokia products and I was trying to avoid compatibility issues buying a headset of the same brand, they should be using same standards. That could be my fault, I could miss a step on the documentation or didn't search well enough, however I can tell you I search on the Nokia knowledge base and there were no results with the keywords "n8" - " bh-503" so I do think this is something Nokia needs to improve. Even when I had this problem, I'm ratting with 5 stars (first 5 stars I give to any product) because it could be just a user problem and the headset has a lot of good futures, great sound, good quality very comfortable and durable.

Better than I expected
I'm not a big fan of wireless audio - too much interference, too many drop outs and generally poor battery life. But I needed something for work that would let me groove to the latest Buffett album without having a cord connected to my PC or iPhone. So I grabbed the BH-503. Setup was easy - charge the battery overnight, turn on the headphones, enable Bluetooth on my iPhone and voila! - the headphones were paired and ready to use. Took some time for me to figure out how to tell my iPhone which output to use, but after that it was smooth sailing. Battery life is excellent - I use these about 8 hours a day, and I've only had a "battery low" beep twice in the past month. As long as I remember to connect the charger at the end of day 2, they'll last a full 2 days with no problem. Sound quality is what you'd expect from headphones playing back MP3s - acceptable. Volume range is good, although there is no Mute function (unless I missed that in the manual), so you can't turn the sound down completely. Controls are well placed and responsive. The forward/back buttons don't do anything on my iPhone 3G, but I suspect that's an issue with the iPhone 3G's implemenation of A2DP Bluetooth. Phone calls are easy to receive, and both incoming and outgoing audio are very good. I also paired these with my Dell XPS-M1530 for late night listening, and the process was just as easy as with the iPhone. The headphones are comfortable (although it takes some getting used to if you're used to earbuds or over-the-head phones). The weight is surprisingly tolerable, and the foam pads are okay. The headband isn't very springy, so you're relying on the over-the-ear hoop to hold them in place. I wouldn't recommend them for jogging or other exertion - they simply don't stay in place that well when you're moving around. Pros - Excellent battery life - Easy setup with iPhone 3G and Dell PC - Good sound and volume range - Simple to use for audio and phone calls - Solid construction - they look and feel very well made - Red color matches my Dell XPS laptop Cons - Loose fitting - not good if you're planning on excercising - Foam ear pads are comfortable, but a more substantial vinyl ear cup would serve these phones better - They don't fold, so you can't stuff them in a pocket

Excellent headphones
This was my sixth pair of headphones since getting my iPhone last almost a year ago. I used the earbuds provided with the phone for a few months then tried to other corded earbuds. However, I got very tired of the cords because they kept gettting caught on something and kept getting damaged. The first bluetooth headset I tried was the MOTOROKR S9 (around [...] bucks). It was pretty good but not comfortable. Perhaps it is my big head or because of the in-ear design, but I kept getting headaches when I used them. I later tried an over-ear headset by Rockfish that I found at Best Buy (about [...] bucks). They were much more comfortable but the sound quality was lacking. After reading a rather convincing review, I tried the Nokia BH-503. This is easily the BEST headset I have owned. I was immediately impressed by the sound quality. I have a pretty eclectic music library and this headset delivers no matter the music. I also am pleased that the headset is very comfortable. It stays in place without squeezing my big head. :) The controls are well-placed, easy to use and intuitive. Long battery life. I have had the headset for almost two weeks and I have found nothing about it that I don't like. All-around WINNER!!!

Nokia Phones
Edit: after 4 months, the headphones will no longer pair with my iPhone (piece of junk, DO NOT BUY!) I think these are average. I will simply list off everything I can say about these. The sound quality and stereo headphones are good. It is a heavy, bulky headset. The buttons do not work on the iPhone. Call quality is terrible. People will not want to talk to me because they always say, "What's all that static, I can barely hear you." -- that's why I'm replacing these with other another headset Battery life is good. I wouldn't recommend these.

A Great Choice So Far
Had this stereo headset for a week now and am extremely pleased with its performance thus far. The set is a bit bulkier & heavier than I originally gathered from the pictures - definitely heavier than my regular wired headphones I had been using and heavier than most bluetooth sets in this price range. However, the design still is pretty sleek and they've been VERY comfortable so far, and quite stable on my head with the ear clips. I can wear them for hours at a time without any discomfort. Sound quality is superb, better than I expected with good bass, and pretty much equivalent to the Sony wired headphones I was using previously. No hiccups or static in the sound; slight distortion at very high volumes or very heavy bass is about the only negative here. Call functions on this headset are fantastic too - works great paired with my N95; all the controls I need are right on the headphones' right ear: music controls, volume, voice dialing support, receive/end call, etc. Works great. So far I've paired with my phone and laptop for music playback and use with Skype, pairing was simple and performance was great. The only watchout would be size/weight - these are not compact and cannot be folded or anything for travel, so I'm a bit concerned I'll end up smashing these in my laptop bag at some point if I'm not careful. They do come with a cloth travel pouch for carrying around, which will help a bit I suppose. Overall, probably the best stereo headset you'll find in this price range.

I really wanted to like these
Well, my search for the perfect Bluetooth Stereo headset continues... I was pleased with the comfort and fit of these headphones, as I really like the behind the neck form factor. However, the sound quality of these aren't as good as I had hoped. I am not an audiophile, but I think I know what sounds good. These can sound good during some parts of some songs, but I felt that the sound reminded me of blown speakers - kind of crackly treble and upper midrange. I find it amazing that so many people are happy with the sound of these. I handed them to my wife (who is by no means an audiophile), and simply asked her for her opinion of the sound quality. I didn't try to lead her or put words in her mouth, and she said that they she could probably deal with it, but "they sound kind of blown". I suppose it is possible that this pair is defective, but I don't want to take the chance. I tried them on my Blackberry Storm, my iPod (via the Sony iPod Bluetooth adapter), and my Macbook Pro, and got the same issue with the sound on each one.

Nice Bass, Weird Distortion/Mids, Comfortable
In preparation for my new iPhone 4, I ordered these and the Motorola S305's. The motorola's were half the price, which was a big plus. The material on the earphones is more comfortable on the Nokias. The Nokias are heavy, which makes you feel like there is some good magnet/material used in the construction but in the case of wearing behind-the-ear headphones, you don't want a heavy device (or at least I don't). The angle of the earphones don't really feel completely natural but the padded material somewhat makes up for it. I tried running around my house with these on and they didn't move much, just kinda hang on your ears a little. Sound quality, the lows (where the weight comes in) are certainly better than the motorola's but that is quickly forgotten when you hear almost a staticy distortion, the mids sound a little digitalized. It wasn't my phone/connection because the motorola's were very crisp, sounded like they were wired. Due to the weight factor, sound quality, and price, the Motorola S305's are the better deal. The buttons on the Nokia are better build, the overall package looks better from Nokia (you get a carrying bag) but all-in-all, I'd go with the motos, which I'm listening to now as I write this review. Love the iPhone 4 too!!!
