Works great for garage door decoration strips
We have a garage door with decorative strips held on by magnet tape. After about 15 years the tape started to demagnetize and pieces came loose and fell. We couldn't find the 6" wide magnetic tape the installers used anywhere, so we gave this a try. The decorative strips have three ridges running their length that's the same width as the 3M magnetic tape. I think it's not a coincidence. This tape's magnets although less surface area than the original 6" wide tape is stronger. It's holding the pieces in place very well. If others have a similar use for this product, know that the 3M tape is thicker than the 6" wide tape the garage door installers use. If you replace only one section, the adjoining decorative strips will be slightly out more than the others. It's not that noticeable, but for best aesthetics you can apply the thicker 3M tape to all adjoining pieces.

Good for its purpose
This tape works as other magnetic tapes do. It has good value for the cost and will last me a long time. The adhesive is ok, but for one of my projects I needed it to stick to canvas and had to use another stronger adhesive to keep it stuck on there. For other flat surfaces, it does stick well.

Kind of a magnet? Kind of tape?
Purchased with the intent to use it with a display to allow for interchanging labels easily with the magnet. The 'tape' side of the magnet tape wasn't as strong as I needed, so I used hot glue to secure it. No further issues. Magnet needed to hold a small (2.5" x 1") laminated paper tag. It holds, but not well. I'm sure there are better, more logical use cases...this just didn't fit what I was looking for.

I Use These Every Single Day
I think I have repurchased these magnets 5x. I use them in my classroom and in my home. I absolutely love them and would definitely recommend them to anyone. The sticky side is pretty sticky and the magnet side is pretty strong. Thereโs not much to say about this, but if you are in need of reliable magnets and you want to customize the size of the magnet, I suggest these ones!!!

Weakest tape ever.
Most worthless magnetic tape I've ever seen. If you're using it on something no heavier than paper or photos it will work, if needed for undercabinet lights or remotes, it will not hold. Absolute junk. Not recommended.

Not very strong
Magnet is very weak. Will not hold much of anything. I tried a12โ strip behind thin material and paper. It was not strong enough to hold an 8โx11โ paper or fabric.

Cut to any size you need plus it really works as a great magnet
This to me is very convenient. Umyou can cut any size you need and it has a self stick side so you don't have to use glue

Not quite strong enough for my purpose
The tape is not strong enough to hold Tonie figures (see video, small plastic figure with a metal base meant to stick on a magnetic audioplayer) either sideways or upside down. But they hold okay-ish if they are upright. The tape can't hold a pair of scissors or even a small knife. It really only works when something is placed upright on it to stop it from toppling over (unless you shake the shelf then it depends on how carefully they are placed and how topheavy they are). Not fit for my specific purpose.
