Personally I have yet to see a 70 series Tire, in a 245 16 dimension be approved for a 10-in wide rim.. this would make the width at the bead the same as at the tread and does enhance the ability for the tire to roll over its sidewall in a corner. I installed these tires on a 2023 Ford Bronco. The stock Bridgestones 255/75 17 are 32 in in diameter and the Pirelli's even though they are 265/70 17s they are also 32 inches in diameter.. They are 10mm wider but they fit perfectly. I drove through 16 inches of heavy wet snow without a hitch. Good grip in snow, handle nice and are very quiet.
