Yes - the C-30ZX plugs into an electrical socket with the provided power cord, and will continuously measure ozone in the air from 0.02 - 0.14ppm.

Why is this thing so expensive?

The unit is very reasonably priced for what it does compared to other ozone monitoring sensors. I have had one in operation for the past 2 years and it does what it is supposed to do without being complicated.
