Pralines
Everything about this purchase was positive, and delicious including the shipping to quality. I will buy it from this seller again.

Best ever praline
My son and daughter brought me three pralines from new Orleans. Each a different brand. This Aunt Sally's Creamy Classic was absolutely the best. Fudgy, Creamy and the taste I have been looking for over 50 years. Most pralines seem to be just sugared candy, hard and not great flavor, taste like brown sugar. These melt in your mouth and I LOVE them. Will order again even though they are a bit pricey for the size. They were packed well and survived the trip across country with no damage to either the package or the candy.

Whatever happened to old fashioned pralines?
I keep thinking I'll find some pralines that I call "sugarrie" at least not chewy or fudgy. People that make candy will kknow what I mean. My order were considered "original" and specified not fudge and chewy. They are fudgy and I might add fairly hard to bite thru...they are delicious, but I think a tad old and dry. Thats for sure...they are hard and dry. I used to get pralines thin pan cake looking with pecans piled in the middle ..not all gound up...and with a host of spices ... whatever, these were expensive for something different to what I wanted.

Chewy, Fresh pralines
Arrived time. The pralines were fresh and my co-workers enjoyed them at a holiday party.

So decadent
These are so good! Someone gave my daughter one of these but she has a tree nut allergy. I ignored it for awhile but decided to try it, and it was a surprise. I decided to order some and the ones from Amazon are very fresh and arrived quickly. I can’t eat something this sweet and rich that often but these are so good and taste homemade. I will definitely order these again, I like to throw one in my backpack for hiking, along with my other snacks. I know it’s the sugar, but they are good for energy!

No way are these the pralines I remember from this shop.
I ordered some of these a few weeks back. I have been going to Aunt Sallies in the Quarter since I was a kid in the 60s, and these are not the pralines I remember. The pralines you could get in the Quarter then were pretty thin, sugary, and creamy. The pralines I ordered recently were thick, with minimal pecans, and an unsavory fudge-like consistency. What happened, Aunt Sallies?? Not happy—I pitched the second box. They tasted old. I had raved about the shop to friends, and was embarrassed to serve these. Please do better. Very disappointed Southern lady. 🫤

creamy pralines
I used to purchase these from a local candy store that made them fresh daily.... 40 years ago... so... these are ok. But they are not what I remember - rich and buttery. These are lacking in full flavor... and I am disappointed in the addition of sorbitol. ? Why? There's corn syrup and sugar! Not thrilled about the caramel color too. Really? Just brown the sugar properly - no color necessary. But then, these are mass made. The pecans are a bit chewy, not crisp and roasty - but there are a fair amount of them. I included a pic. In my opinion they are just about the right size, although the ones I used to get as a child were a bit larger - but these are 200 calories each and about $2.50 each. They are creamy - not gritty - but they are a tiny bit rubbery texture wise. In all honesty, I probably won't order these again, but it was worth a try. I am just disappointed they aren't richer flavored and the nuts less rubbery. All personal opinion.

This is a special occasion treat that is delicious when it’s fresh.
The first time that I tried Aunt Sally’s Creole pralines they were unspeakably delicious. It’s not one of those treats that’s packed with sugar, it is so flavorful. I tried it because one of my close friends who is a Facebook buddy recommended it. She’s right, it’s to die for. Unfortunately, my most recent order was stale. I was so disappointed because I know how delicious they can be. I keep forgetting to return items that I’m not happy with. But I’ll remember to do it next time.
