## Description

"Mugicha" or Roasted Barley Tea is a traditional drink that has been a favorite for centuries in the Asian. It is called mugicha in Japanese, and boricha in Korean. Naturally caffeine-free, its mellow, soothing flavor can be enjoyed by everyone at any time of day. While the tea is generally regarded as a cooling summer beverage in Japan, it is served year-round, hot in winter and cold in summer, in Korea. Served chilled in summer, it is delightfully cooling and refreshing. In winter, hot Mugicha is both warming and relaxing.

Review: Well priced and easy to make! - My Korean Mother-in-law used to make this, and after she passed away I would often make it myself out of the loose roasted barley (boiling it on the stove). This tea is ground up and made into larger tea-bags; no need to boil, just throw them in and let it steep for a few hours either on the counter or in the fridge! Tastes great and very convenient. I have experimented a bit and I make it two-bags to one gallon; this is probably weaker than most would make it, but I prefer it more as a flavored water than a stronger tea (this is also closer to how I learned to drink it). Most of the time I will add one packet of "true lemon" to the gallon, which is equivalent to one lemon wedge; it gives it just the slightest hint of lemon. Lastly, I usually will add one small (traditional size) bag of hop tea to the gallon. I've got my formula down now, and it is affordable, refreshing, and delicious! 12/12/18 Followup: I still give this five stars; now most of the time I just make it a straight two bags (already attached to eachother) to one gallon and I don't add anything else. My kids have started to drink it and also love it; natural and no calories!
Review: 🍵🌾Really Delicious🌾🍵 - I am not a coffee drinker. I don't like the taste, but I like coffee ice cream, go figure? I had barley tea in a restaurant and really enjoyed it. In my search for a comparable flavor I came across this one and it's delicious! You get a lot of tea too. I generally cold brew these in mason jars. 1 bag is meant for 1-1.5 qt so I tuck one in a wide mouth 32oz jar and it's perfect! I've also used the same bag to steep again (up to two more times) and while not as potent as the first steep it's worked out well for me. Love this tea! 🌾🍵

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I have ordered this barley tea many times, and I love it.

I was dumb enough to drink energy drinks every single day for six years. I also drank a lot of sugary beverages like grape juice. Anyway, it destroyed my health. I did some research online and found out about barley tea. It kinda tastes like tea. It kinda tastes like coffee. It tastes sweet, so no sugar needed. And it doesn't have any caffeine in it at all. It's addictive. And it's easy to make. You just put one pouch in a pitcher of cold water and then put it in the fridge for a couple of hours. Then remove the tea bag. I often drink it cold, but sometimes I put it in a cup and microwave it for three minutes. And other times I microwave it for four minutes and add some almond milk to sweeten it a little. It's really delicious. It's about the only thing that I drink now, besides water. I totally recommend it.
