Super Soft Baby Alpaca Wool Reversible Shawl Wrap Cape Solid Cream Color

I gave this as a gift -- the recipient is pleased -- she got blood on it, but soaked it in cold water and then took to dry cleaners -- it did come out. NOT as soft as cashmere that I have.... so would not purchase for myself - I love my cashmere. Wrap seemed stiff to me -- I even put in dryer on low heat to see if it would soften..... not so much.

It's lovely, and soft to the touch. A very light cream without too much yellow. I'm returning it only because it isn't quite as wide as I'd like, and won't give me quite as much warmth for a cool evening. Perfect for warmer climates however.

I haven't worn shawls before, but I needed something for my new job in a perpetually chilly office, so first I bought the baby alpaca shawl in dark red. It was so wonderfully soft and warm that I bought this one, cream colored. It is even softer than the red one, and both are large enough to use as a throw for an afternoon's nap (they are much narrower than a real throw, but if you don't squirm too much they work fine - their softness and warmth are worth it). These shawls are brushed to make the fabric look fashionably shaggy, and they do shed, but their luxury is worth it. Just use a lint brush on your clothes and you'll be fine. They are very warm and soft, and the colors are great. Shipping was much faster than advertised. I recommend these baby alpaca shawls (they come in oodles of colors) without reservation. I purchased this after reading the online reviews which were mostly positive. I looked to see if there were any problems with shedding and didn't see that noted so I decided to take my chances purchase it. I wanted it for work since the temperature is unpredictable there. I used it one time and it shed all over my clothes. Thankful for Amazon's great return policy.

This is my third one, now have black, purple and the white one. Since I am allergic to wool, cashmere, etc., this has changed my winter life. They are so soft and still sturdy and very warm. I am short and would love a smaller size but not complaining, they are great on the cold airplane rides. There is no itch factor which I have experienced with other alpaca items, think it is the baby alpaca and the processing that is so outstanding. Also great customer service, sent the dark rich blue one back since it almost as dark as the black one, got the white one instead. Great product, good company, good pricing. Only ordered the third because of the sale, thank you!!

This is a beautiful - and soft- shawl but it did shed too much and was huge for my "shortness"

After waiting close to a month for this cream shawl and a brown one, I was delighted to receive both shawls within the suggested delivery time frame. Obviously, international delivery times take longer than those within the continental US. The wait was worth it !! Both shawls are generous in size, beautiful, silky softwith a sheen ( especially the brown one). They are just the right weight -- neither too light, like a Pashmina, nor too heavy, like a fleece shawl and yet pleasantly warm. I would definitely recommend this seller and their products !! In addition, there was a cute unexpected little surprise attached to my cost statement. To find out what that was you'll have to order one of their products, too !!

About the only good thing I can say is that it IS large. But it looks like a hairy mess - lots of uneven tufts of fur and rough texture. It was shedding even as I removed it from packaging. Perhaps in a darker color the tufts and overall appearance would be better but mine was returned.
