Worth the investment for good looks and quality build.
These are one awesome set of speaker stands. They look better IMO then the ultimate stands which seem to be fairly common. The system is completely self contained, or in other words there are no screws to get lost. When you use them you have to snap the legs away from the center post. When stored the legs have a clamping mechanism which keep the stand from flopping around. The carry bag is form fitted so you won't be able to fit anything else inside the bag like a mic stand. These stands are heavy. At first it seems like they're overly heavy, but when you compare them to ultimate stands the heft translates to durability in my mind. The lifting mechanism is amazing I have 40lbs speakers and they work quite well. There is a collar that helps you lower the stands when you're done with them. If you happen to release the piston lever without a speaker on top, it is somewhat difficult to lower it again (might take two hands for small build people). The legs are really nice looking, and I haven't had any problems with the red rubber feet falling off. They are also very gentle on gym floors. In other forums and reviews there seems to be people who think the plastic parts won't hold up to the rigors of the road. I would agree if a rental company was using these, however for band use and personal shows these are tough stands. The plastic in question is not the kind of plastic you find on cheap toys. It appears to be ABS which is the material used to make legos. This may seem an odd comparison, but when was the last time you saw a lego brick missing a peg? In other words I would relax about the plastic parts. As a final note these stands have no knobs. This means when your stand gets dropped, hit, or otherwise abused there's nothing to catch and break.

Good investment for my business
This is the second set of speaker stands I have purchased for my mobile entertainment company. They are very expensive, but after three years of experience I am willing to invest in what will make my work life easier. I have truss to do large shows and corporate events. But most of my clients are hiring me to do smaller size shows. So I put a 10' aluminum pole in the O-clamps that I use to fly my JBL 515XTs and hang some effects lighting and a couple fog machines on the pole. Perfect for weddings, school dances, etc. Now before my Gators I would have to lift my speakers up on the stands, then stand on a chair or ladder to clamp in the pole and hang and wire my lights and foggers. With the Gators, I put my speakers up, but keep them low. I put the pole in, I hang and wire my lights and foggers. I test the lights, make sure they are all good, just the way I want them. Then I open the clamps on the speaker stand, walk to the center of the pole and with very little effort I slowly raise the aluminum pole which lifts both speakers up at the same time. And all the bridesmaids setting up the reception start saying to each other, "Ooh la la!!!" They have no idea there is lift assist in the poles. Another great thing about these speaker stands is that they are small. They break down incredibly well and fit in a much smaller space in my vehicle than my previous ones. Tear down is simple, too. With a little bit of pulling effort the stands come down because the weight of my speakers, aluminum pole, lights and foggers balances against the lift assist nearly perfectly. These stands are heavy. Much heavier than my previous Pyle Pros. But the bag is a very high quality case and makes transporting them very easy. The only thing I wish Gator had added is some way to know when the stands are level. Some markings on the tube should be sufficient I would think. Now I have to raise them up, clamp them, walk to the back of the room and eyeball, come back and open the clamps, adjust one side or the other higher or lower, close the clamps and repeat. Yes, they are expensive. But due to the time and effort they save me on the job, they are well worth it!

By far the best speaker tripods Ive ever owned.
I purchased two of these stands to replace some cheaper On Stage brand speaker stands. These are of very solid build quality and look great. The powered piston helps with getting the speaker up in the air and I have 2 very large primary powered speakers. It wont lift it on its own because of weight but I can push them up with 1 hand and little effort. Down is just as easy . The issue (which is minor) is the speaker hole size adapter that comes with it. It is easy enough to use however it "appears" to not be as sturdy when it actually is. So while cosmetic a more solid fitting piece would be better. The cam locking is great. Setup is easy too once you figure out how to open them with little effort. Tip: start opening them upside down and turn over. The weight of these is good, while heavier than some tripods Ive used this one backs up the weight with a solid feel.I'm actually looking at purchasing 2 more for my truss system to aid in lifting the truss up.The bag that goes with these is huge. You could easily fit 3 of them in it, or 4. I currently use it for the speaker tripods and the cords for the speakers. So the bag has plenty of room. 2 in a bag though is a bit heavy so unless youre the hulk you might want to keep it at 2.

Best Speaker Stands ever
These are the best speaker stands I have ever purchased. They are sturdy and easy to setup. They are quite heavy but this leads to their stability and sturdiness.

How high can it go.
This is my first set of stands from this brand. For now is very stable. I love the power lift to lower and raise the speakers by my self.It helps a lot. Strong case compared to other brands. I will recommend this.

Overall good product
They set up pretty well. Love the carrying bag and style. The only flaw I would say they have is when trying to open the legs, there’s not much to grab on the legs to pop them open and it take a bit of pressure so I ripped a finger nail off the first time and now very cautious. Small margin of error for my fingers at least.

Does not lift up to 60lbs!!!
I can understand that this product is heavy and was willing to live with it. We researched the product before purchasing to make sure it was able to lift our speakers before purchasing. It says to lift speakers for up to 60lbs. We have EV ELXP115 that weights 53.7lbs. Guess what, it does not lift it. We tried BOTH our stands in case one of them was defect and nop!On top of that, Tri Pod is REALLY not user friendly and dangerous for a guitar player to squeeze his fingers in...So it ends up pretty pricy and useless considering the weight of the stands!! Very disappointing! WAYYYYY overrated!

Good Quality but No Bag
Great but could be better. I bought two of these and they did not come with carry bags. At this price point, they should include a bag. And they will not fit most standard bags, you need one at least 50 inches long. The build quality on these are great BUT be prepared for the weight. These stands are heavy and can probably hold heavy speakers. I’m using these on LD ICOA 12s and those will benefit from the tough build. The major issue with these are that the bottom legs are really hard to open. Be prepared to pry these really hard to get them to open full wide. The lift is great on these. They should have included some extra ties for cable management.

Very Good Stand
I have been using cranked up speakers stand for last 5 years and they were looking little bit used. I did some research on speaker stand with lift assistance and I found Gator Frameworks Series on Amazon and read some of the reviews and was impressed with them. I decided to buy them and and am totally impressed with the easy of use, the quality of the product. These stands are little heavier than my previous stand but they work great

dent + scratch
there are dents & 1 long scratch on both stands when i got them .they are about same weight as a normal Alum. speaker stand, not as light as other people mentioned on you tube reviews.i find legs are very hard to open, people says give it a little twist & legs are open, but it is not; you have to really pull all 3 legs out 1 by 1.overall, they are looking good, look very professional, but need to really baby them good or they'll get scratches all over.
