And the changes they made make a HUGE difference. It fits the hand better, has a little thumb pad right above the blade that gives you way more control, you don't have to take it apart to change the blades and the blade storage is both easier to access and works better. Frankly, everything about this is better. It uses the same blades, and the same slide mechanism to extend or retract them. It's still heavy enough to give a donkey a concussion, sturdy enough to actually be useful and you won't need to end up wrapping part of it with packing tape to keep the two halves together because you dropped the stupid screw and your cousin Billy ran off with it. There is nothing about this that is a downgrade. Everything that was great on the initial design is either still great or is even better! 100% will buy this again. Because, like every other useful tool ever, someone's gonna walk off with it at some point. I'd stab them for it except they walked off with my knife! Review: Still one of the best out there - I’ve always purchased these. They are fabulous. ## Features - Strong, durable construction combines a cast metal core with bi-material soft panels for a sure grip - Tool-free push-button blade change - Curved handle design for comfort, control and balance - Integrated string cutter for use even when blade is retracted - Stores up to 10 blades in handle ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000051WTG | | Best Sellers Rank | #77,579 in Tools & Home Improvement ( See Top 100 in Tools & Home Improvement ) #343 in Utility Knives | | Blade Length | 2.43 inches | | Blade Material | High Carbon Steel | | Brand | STANLEY | | Brand Name | STANLEY | | Color | Gray/Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 912 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00076174107883 | | Handle Material | Metal,Steel | | Handle Type | Manual-Retractable | | Included Components | Assembly Guide | | Item Length | 9.1 inches | | Item Type Name | Stanley 10788 Curved Quick-Change Utility Knife, High Carbon Steel Retractable Blade, 3 Blades | | Item Weight | 130 g | | Manufacturer | Stanley | | Manufacturer Part Number | 10-788 | | Material | High Carbon Steel , Black/Gray | | Material Type | High Carbon Steel, Black/Gray | | Model Number | 10-788 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Product Style | Retractable | | UPC | 761741078832 076174107883 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Blade Length:** 2.43 inches - **Blade Material:** High Carbon Steel - **Brand:** STANLEY - **Color:** Gray/Black - **Handle Material:** Metal,Steel - **Item Length:** 9.1 inches - **Item Weight:** 130 g - **Material:** High Carbon Steel, Black/Gray - **Style:** Retractable - **Unit Count:** 1 Count ## Images ![10788 Curved Quick-Change Utility Knife, High Carbon Steel Retractable Blade, 3 Blades - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41qeXFHY3TL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Minor changes make a huge difference! *by Y***Y on August 1, 2023* You know that old utility knife?
