I needed to go from a Bosch dishwasher with a rubber combo 3/4 or 1/2 inch female outlet to a 1 inch male inlet on my disposal. I figured the rubber would stretch an eighth of an inch, but couldn't force the 3/4 end over the 1" inlet. This coupler did the trick. I cut the 3/4 end off the Bosch hose/connector, which exposed the 1/2" connector. I then bought a double male ended plastic nipple with 1/2" barb on one side and 5/8" barb on the other. so it went from the rubber hose end to the nipple to the adapter. the clamps that came with the adapter look like junk so I replaced them with good quality stainless screw clamps. no leaks.

I don't understand why more hardware stores, including the big box variety, don't carry this product. It is a must have for plumbers because it will pretty much solve every dishwasher to garbage disposal connection situation there is. You can even stock up your SS clamp supply with the two clamps you don't use. The materials used are excellent and should never result in a call back.

Work if you have better clamps. The clamps that come with the connector are garbage. Had to use better clamps to keep water from leaking because the clamps that come with the connector wouldn’t tighten down enough.
