A Big screen that lives up to the Big!
I picked up this screen to really fill out my movie viewing, and it fit's the bill! The screen has a straight white matte surface and does not suffer from significant curling or warpage. This unit is quite large, the case is ~108 inches long, and while it is not too heavy, it is unwieldy. Unlike some of the smaller models (100" diagonal and below) this unit does not have a pneumatic scissors support system. I have a smaller 4:3 Da-lite Insta-theater and that model is much easier to put up and bring down. It is also easier to move around, store, and transport. This new 120" screen is not nearly as portable, however, the support rod system and stabilizing adjustable feet work well. Lifting the screen manually is quite the effort. I have the support rod adjusted to it's lowest level, and I can just get the screen into place. I'm only 5'7" tall, so if you are taller this might be easier for you. Vice-versa if you are shorter. Over all I am quite satisfied with this product and would recommend it. Pay close attention to the measurements and how big a space you have.

We love it, but beware of broken parts.
I brought this screen for my husband for a Christmas present. First of all, make sure you get the measurements correct that you need. You will need to know the case size so that it will fit in the space you will be showing the screen. This was one of the mistakes we made, we did not consider the case size, just the screen size. We love the screen, the one BIG problem we had was when the item was shipped to us it was not packed well to protect the brackets from being broken. I had to order th is screen 3 times and all 3 times they were broken in the same space. Amazon.com had to recall the item, stop selling it until they did a investigation on why this item is being delivered broken every time it's shipped. So after 4 days they put the item back in stocked to be purchased, but they never contacted me to let me know the results of their research. This is the only problem you may encounter, the packing of the items does not secure the brackets. Other than that, if you can get it home in one piece, the screen is AWESOME. We had friends over for the superbowl and they loved it.

Great value for money
Surprising easy to setup and move around consider the size - screen material is bright and flat. This is a 120inch screen - I can move it and set it up on my own. The lifting up of the support rod does require some effort but that's just about OK . The only improvements I would suggest Elite consider for the future is having two legs (like in the picture) - mine only has one leg in the middle - and two balancing screws on either side. The other improvement would be to improve the spring which rolls up the screen when shutting down screen, the last few inches sometimes need some help to push back into the case. Great for the price and functionality. Addition to review: If the elite folks are watching - it would be great if you could reduce the flexing between the upright support and the balancing leg. It can be tricky to get the screen perfectly straight due to the flex. Still a great product and I still recommend. (and if you have a mod to fix this - will be happy to fit is and try it - I have two of these screens!)

Very good screen
Great screen - really easy to setup. It's long, so make sure you can fit it in your car if you need to transport it. Also, we rigged a microphone stand behind it and clipped it to the pole to give extra stability. It's not unstable, necessarily, but it's nice to make it more secure.

FORTUNE TO RETURN
The product doesn't have sturdy legs. It should have TWO supportive legs and a back brace. We had to return it. They refused to send a return label. They require the buyer to return the screen and the cost was $460.00. We drove 11 hours to drop it off in person in the rain. It was a nightmare but that was the only way to get $808 back. So the product may be great but the return was horrible. So if you bought it THEN you own it..

Advertised as having cosmetic damage.
The item was advertised as having COSMETIC DAMAGE! Both end caps are broken so the screen is not operational. There is nothing to attach it to the enclosure! That is structural damage, not cosmetic!

Not as good as the Da-Lite Insta-theater .... although a big "criteria" involve.
That major criteria is that this ezCinema is larger than the Da-Lite 100" 4:3 ratio Insta-theater, which i have, so please factor in that also. My review is about construction, ease of setup, not the "image" quality. Setup Comparison: The ezcinema - More difficult to setup. You have to insert a vertical bar on the back, pull up the screen and latch the screen onto the vertical bar. Also, the resistance of the screen while pulling up is very "stiff", which isn't a bad thing, it's just hard. You can try to latch the screen "then" pull it up, but if you place your screen right next to a wall, you can't access the vertical bar to pull it up. I have to place/set the vertical bar to the set (adjustable) height I want it to be, then use a ladder, stand in front of the screen, and pull with 2 hands to get it to latch screen onto the vertical bar. You could say for me to set it up away from the wall, setup screen, then move it to the wall, but it feels flimsy and I fell that the screen might topple over. Closing the screen, again, for the height that I set it up, I have to get a ladder to unlatch it, and let gravity + stiff resistance and the screen to come down, then pull away the vertical bar. The Da-Lite: Easy as Hell! No vertical bar to deal with. They provide a small handle so that if you need to "push up" as high as you need (to max height), you don't need a ladder. (but note that my 100" doesn't go as high as the ezcinema 120"). The resistance is light and not stiff/hard like the ezcinema. ----- Construction: Ezcinema: materials wise, about the same. Closing the screen at times doesn't latch onto the base all the time. I don't know why the 120" version has the pull out leg in the middle and a left/right knob to get the right tilt of the screen. Why didn't they just put 2 pullout legs (left/right) like in the picture?????? Stability-wise, 2 legs on the sides are better than 1 leg in the middle. those 2 knobs provide 0 stability, it only for tilting. Da-Lite: Closing it? simple, take the handle provided, and just pull it down with very little resistance. closing the screen latches in place onto the base all the time. the two legs on the sides is awesome, provides very good stability. ------ Nowadays, I just leave the freaking 120" ezcinema up all the time and get too lazy to close it. and trying to raise it up every time I use it. The Da-lite I used to close, open up all the time cause it only takes like 5 seconds. The ezcinema, get a freaking ladder, and just takes too much time. ---- Too bad the Da-Lite insta-theater doesn't come anything larger than the 100", if they did, I would get it hands down compared to this.
