A real steal, these are nice!
I have purchased 4 of these tables, and am completely happy with them for the price paid. Really, I consider them a total steal. I bought a pair of the dark brown/black/espresso colored ones about a year and a half ago to serve as end tables by the couch in my living room. They look nice, and we have had no issues with quality or functionality, so when it was recently decided that new nightstands were needed by a bed, a pair of white tables were ordered. In both locations, we wanted decent looking but didn’t want to spend hundreds of dollars each. End tables and night stands at real furniture stores easily reached up in to the hundreds of dollars per unit range, so we decided to expand our search. We checked the more “quirky” and discount-oriented home goods stores and, to be frank, the offerings looked like junk. There is a Big Blue Emporium Of Swedish-Designed Goods And Meatballs (you know what place I’m talking about) located in our town, so we checked there. We found something acceptable looking and reasonably priced, but still there was a nagging doubt. “Let’s check Amazon” we thought. And so we did. And here we are. All 4 tables arrived in fine flat-pack condition. Nothing was dinged or damaged, no missing pieces, nothing troubling to report. All pieces are made of real wood, not fiberboard or particle board or cardboard, like products from that other place we had considered. The benefit of having real wood is that it glues up nice, and if you have any scratches, it’s relatively easy to repair. The directions are simple, but sensible and easy to follow. With this sort of furniture, I always glue pieces together in addition to the screws just to add a bit of strength to the whole thing. Everything went together fine, and fit properly. The door was already assembled within the face frame, so no adjustment or fitting was needed. As for colors/ finishes: We are very happy with the coloring and quality of finish of these. The espresso color is a very deep brown/black that is evenly applied over the whole unit, no “splotchiness”. These tables, despite our best efforts to prevent it, regularly get drinks placed on them without coasters, and there are spills, and we have yet to see any rings or other defect appear in the surface finish. The white tables are a smooth flat-ish white paint (which is what we wanted), not a stained white-wash. I had one spot (about the size of a paper clip) on one of the white tables where the finish was a little marred. It wasn’t a scratch or damage, it just looked like the paint hadn’t been applied quite right. I had some paint on hand that matched just right, and a light touch-up made it disappear. I’ve only got a couple of things that I would list as “cons” though they aren’t deal-breakers, nor are they enough of a problem to cause me to lower my rating. I mean, let’s be real and recognize that when you’re only spending fifty dollars for a piece of furniture to be delivered to your house, it’s probably not going to have the same quality as a piece that is hundreds of dollars more expensive. You should know going in to the deal that you’re making a compromise somewhere. Anyhow, my “cons”: -The bottom of the unit is a thin piece of plywood that is simply laid on the frame. It is not fastened in place, and it “floats” around a bit. Also, it doesn’t strike me as overly-sturdy. It’s not like you’re going to keep your barbells or encyclopedias in there, but it’s a weaker part of the construction that I thought would be helpful to point out to people. If I were worried about it, it could easily be glued/nailed into place, but I haven’t found a practical issue with it. -The door’s orientation isn’t easily switched. If you want to switch it so that the hinges are on the left instead of the right, you are going to have to do a little wood-work, it’s not a simple flip-flop. This may be a deal-breaker for some people, but it hasn’t really bothered me in use. Again, I thought it would be helpful to point this out to people. At the end of the day, I can say that I am very happy with these units. I’ve had them long enough that I think I’ve given them a decent real-world trial, and they are something I would buy again (and I have!), and recommend to others.

A good nightstand at an affordable price.
This nightstand is good for someone that is looking for a simple and affordable option. It is quite a decent nightstand that does its job but does not exceed expectations. First off, the materials are not made up of the finest pieces of wood. The pieces are quite thin and seem fragile. When I was assembling it, I was afraid of being too rough with them and accidentally breaking them. The piece of wood that goes in, as the front of the drawer, seemed as if it was peeling and deteriorating in the bottom corners. This was very concerning when I first began the assembly process, especially since that was a piece that would always be exposed. Luckily, after fully assembling the stand, I realized that the peeling parts weren’t too noticeable. On the other hand, the assembly was not too difficult. I had to stop halfway through the assembly and then continued it a few hours later and I was able to pick it back up easily. The only complaint I have about the assembly is that none of the parts were labeled. This sometimes made the assembly confusing and bothersome. Some parts do seem similar, but they can sometimes be different sizes or just different parts altogether. I managed to assemble different parts of the nightstand incorrectly which became frustrating. However, those problems could easily be fixed by labeling the components of the nightstand. So far, the nightstand has held up well. Once fully assembled, it is quite sturdy. I have placed a multitude of items on it and it has not shown any signs of giving out. It has not received any scratches or signs of damage at all. I have younger siblings that have spilled liquids on it and I was able to wipe everything off without any problems. No matter what material they have poured on the nightstand, it has not received any permanent damage. It is impossible to notice that anything has been poured on it once it has been cleaned up. For the two months that I’ve had it, it has held up well and I haven’t encountered any major issues with it. Initially, the drawer and the cabinet both initially gave me a concern. Once the drawer is fully pulled out, it begins to sag. This is one of the flaws that the nightstand has and one of the places where it is evident that some corners were cut. It is not a big deal to me as I rarely ever must pull out the drawer completely, but it is noticeable that the drawer is not well made. Nonetheless, the drawer houses whatever I need without any concern of it not holding up. On the other hand, the piece of wood holding up the items stored in the cabinet could be concerning. Most of the pieces of wood had a place where you would squeeze it into and then secure it with a screw, that is not true for the bottom piece. It is a very thin piece of wood and is not secured in any way, besides sitting on top of the inner edges of the frame of the nightstand. To me it is not a big deal as it only stores my video games and movies. However, I would not recommend storing anything heavy within there as it is difficult to guarantee that the thin piece of wood would be able to hold it. To reiterate, do NOT store your favorite bowling ball in the cabinet. The Winsome accent table is a good bargain. Although not the highest quality, it gets the job done and does not cause any problems. At this price range there is not much more that one could ask for. It is not heavy duty, but it should not be expected to be. Regardless of its more budget-friendly materials, it still makes for a great looking nightstand that should last for a fair amount of time.

Great quality for the price!
This unit is very well manufactured and assembly was very easy. The only issue I encountered was that that the pre-drilled holes on the back panel did not align with the tabletop on the first side I tried, but fit perfectly when I tried the other side of the tabletop. Solid unit and it was well packaged. I used a small amount of wood glue on the wood plugs to be sure they stayed in place. Overall a great nightstand!

Very pleased
Pleasantly surprised at the quality, ease of assembly, and over all good looks for an assembled piece of furniture:) The value for dollar is definitely there!

Nice if you're neat and don't spill water but messy kids (& me) can ruin it!
So, over a year ago I bought two, both white, and I loved them at first. I didn't assemble them, had my ex hubby do so and he had no complaints. I still like them but they have some issues, partly due to flimsy construction but also because of owner messiness (me). In fact, every time I look at one I always think that I need to leave a review to inform others so here it is. The bottoms are flimsy at best and will not allow you to put heavy items on it as it'll pop right out and hit the floor. This can be solved by not putting too much in the bottom cabinet or putting in a heavier piece of wood for the bottom or something of your preference or even putting a book or two beneath it I imagine. I simply removed the too heavy items and am careful with what I put in at this time. In one I have a large bottle of almond oil, one of castor oil, one of peroxide, six rolls of double roll toilet paper, some bills, a DNA kit which one day I may use, and a few other small items stored in the bottom. I know that's detailed and sounds a little odd - toilet paper? But it holds all that. The top surface will pimple if water spills and is left there unawares (thanks to my messiness). Maybe if I had been warned of that I would've kept my carafe of water elsewhere but I like it on my nightstand along with flowers in a small vase of water. I've found that sitting it on a tray is helpful. Also, if you have children who like to leave gifts of drawings on your nightstand and water spills on that the colors will transfer to the top and it will be hard to remove if you don't catch it right away. The top drawer can fall right out if you pull it too hard, not being mindful that that's an issue. I've never had that happen to me before with other nightstands but I'm mindful now. It stores a fair piece and isn't too easy for children under three to pull out so that's a bonus. I won't go into details of what's in mine but suffice it to say vitamins, makeup, hair items, mirror, scissors, pens, paper, just things I like to have on hand. Overall I'm satisfied with these since I needed smaller nightstands when I rearranged my bedroom. They look good, hold up once you know their limitations and you're not messy. Kids plus me equal messy water spills quite a bit, or at least at first. I scrubbed the tops with all kinds of things but saw the brown beneath would appear if I wasn't careful. I just have one tiny brown dot that I exposed which I cover with a tray now. The tray is unobtrusive as it's very low and it's white. It's also wide enough that it fits half of the nightstand top so it covers other unsightly stains and yet allows room for a regular size lamp and my flowers. I would highly recommend a tray for your water. I cover another faded stain with my small vase of flowers and, fortunately, only one got most of the abuse and books cover the faded stain on the other one. It works. I'm used to well crafted, already assembled, made from real wood, North Carolina furniture that holds up for years but the pieces I have are rather large so, again, these serve their purpose and they do look nice and I don't think they look cheap at all. Would I buy them again? Yes, actually I would because now I know that water and papers with ink, markers, etc are not these nightstands friends and I could work with that. And of course for the price, one shouldn't expect them to hold up like good old North Carolina furniture. And if I'd considered that - duh - I should have used coasters! But after one year and two months, they are sturdy enough, still nice enough looking and handy storage that was inexpensive. And now you know! Happy Shopping!

Great affordable nightstand stylish and Functional Accent!
Great nightstand! Instructions on how to set it up are easy to use (sort of like IKEA). I have had it for several years now and I like how it turned out and how the longevity of it is. The Winsome Wood Eugene Accent Table in walnut is a perfect blend of style and practicality. The rich walnut finish adds a touch of elegance to any room, and its simple, sleek design makes it versatile enough to fit in a living room, bedroom, or hallway. It’s sturdy, with a solid construction that ensures it will last for years. The size is perfect for holding lamps, drinks, or small decor items without taking up too much space. Assembly was easy, and the table is lightweight yet durable. Overall, this is a beautiful, affordable, and well-made piece of furniture that complements any home décor. Highly recommend!

Don't buy these. Junk.
I should have listened to the reviews. I had bought other Winsome Wood items and thought maybe the reviewers were rating it unfairly as if it were equal to higher priced furniture. I was wrong. The white paint job is awful. There are chips in the paint and wood. The paint is uneven. There are black scuff marks in places. I will try to touch it up, but particle board doesn't paint well. It is mostly particle board (sides, drawer bottom, and bottom of the night stand). The sort of wood pieces are flimsy. Both nighstands I bought were not even. Can't really tell on carpet but they wobble on hardwood. The drawer and cabinet can't hold much because the particle board bottoms are flimsy. There is a gap all around the cabinet door. You can see light all around it. There is no slider for the drawer, it just sits on a wood piece. It does slide just fine but tilts forward. The espresso one I bought as well has a slightly better finish but not much. There are flaws in that one too. And a small crack. I hope they will be good enough for the kids for now. They can hold a book or two in the drawer and maybe a light toy or two in the cabinet. A lamp on top. I wish they looked nicer and I wish I had spent more money on nightstands that will last. We are moving in a few months and I will have to transport these myself in my car because I doubt they are sturdy enough to survive movers. Honestly, this furniture is junk. I overpaid for it, but I needed it in a hurry, as I had promised my children nightstands with lamps when they returned from a vacation (something they wanted when we discussed nightmares, etc) so I didn't have time to do anything else. Also, taking it apart to return it would have been too difficult, but mostly I don't want to let me kids down. I'm banking on them being 2 and 4 and overlooking the general piece of junk the nightstands are until I can buy them decent ones. Big disappointment. I regret not listening to the other reviews.

Great piece for the price
Not the best quality cabinet out there, but for the price you can definitely not go wrong. I got this expresso color cabinet mainly to hide my modem, which fits perfectly: Pros: •Simple to assemble: took me 20 minutes. Instructions are well written •The color was as expected: Dark fake wooden look •Looks nice, as long as you dont take a closer inspection... •Professionally package with lots of foam Cons: •Feather light material: nice and easy to carry around but it shows how cheap it is •Fingerprints shows easily •Some wood pieces came in with a dust like white substance which I had a hard time to remove Conclusion: If you are looking for a cabinet that looks halfway decent and you simply want to fill in a room this might be the one. Cheap quality but the price makes sense. Great way to hide a router or modem. But if you are looking for an “accent” piece of impeccable quality with lots of room, please skip this product. Still, definitely worth 5 stars.

Great But Take Care With Screws
I just assembled the unit and it looks great. Instructions were very clear - this is not something one can take for granted. However, I would raise one concern. Perhaps this will be obvious to handymen, but if you over-tighten the screws, the wood surface that receives the screw will fracture. This makes sense, of course, but I believe there should be a warning. Even though I was taking great care, I did cause the wood to "split" because I overtightened. Long story short, I believe this damage will be incidental and will not have any practical impact, but it is something to watch out for.
