Cosori Gooseneck Electric Kettle with Temperature Control, 0.8L, Black

This is the best kettle at this price point. It is attractive and has fantastic features: accurate adjustable water temp, no internal plastic contact, a gooseneck, and fast heating. Unlike other kettles, it has little to no chemical or plastic smell even on first use. This kettle also has an optional sound indicator when the water has heated to the desired temp. This feature can easily be turned off if unwanted. It has an option to hold the water at temp, though it heats fast enough that I rarely use this. The adjustable water temp is not only nice for teas, but is also helpful for heating water while avoiding excessive steam. I got this to replace a very old discontinued model of a beloved electric kettle with adjustable water temp that I got many years ago and was finally on its very last legs. I tried a couple other kettles, and this is the only one I have been happy with. I have owned it for several months now, and I like it even better than my old one.

RECENT UPDATE: Recently COSORI reached out to me and remedied all my concerns and sent me out a brand new kettle and it’s working and looks amazing!!! So happy to be able to make my teas again. It’s amazing how different your teas taste when heating to the perfect temperature. CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS TIME WAS PERFECT! Worked great the first 2 1/2 years - loved that it has different temperatures for different types of teas and all. Used it frequently because how hot the tea I make needs to be and just made the tea taste the best. My only concern is it just started to act weird making strange popping noises when heating up, sadly not long when the warranty ran out. It started getting finicky a few months before that , it wouldn’t turn on sporadically. Then it would and heat up fine. I also noticed that around the spout near the bottom where it bends before connecting to the pot the black paint started to peel a little. But that didn’t bother as much as the very loud popping noises it would make so I just quit using it and got in touch with the company. But of course since the warranty is over they wouldn’t do anything about it. So now I’m in search of a different but similar tea kettle. In my humble opinion it should have lasted a lot longer thena few years. I’ve had coffee pots and blenders that have last way longer than that. Sadly I won’t be purchasing from this company again as I think they should stand behind their products. But if you want a tea kettle that does all this does (which is wonderful) but only lasts a couple years. I’d recommend it. Cord length is great, the auto shut off works perfectly but the ease of cleaning because of the small mouth of the pot makes it a bit of a challenge to clean well. I just made sure I rinsed it well after each use. That seemed to work.

Love the trifecta of perfect functionality, classic design and yup, it is somehow cute too:). My favorite thing is the hold temperature button - so convenient to have hot water for an hour without having to reheat again. Reasonable price, good customer service, known quality and durability, and a certain level of trust in the product (brand) as I'm now officially a Cosori kitchen appliance fan - owner of their big water kettle - love the blue light glass kettle two years in and going strong. Their Instant Pot has the awesome feature of having a clever orange release button well away from the steam release - no issues ever. Yesterday I received their air fryer... Isn't it great that there are still a few companies that make good products and provide good customer service? Nope - not being paid or otherwise compensated for saying that - I'm just a happy, satisfied customer. Recommended!

I switched to instant coffee a couple of years back and had been using my drip coffee maker just to get the hot water. The downside being there are several parts that need to be washed. I also added a new powder (I dissolve the coffee, fiber, powdered creamer, and now collagen powder) and it was becoming difficult to get everything mixed together properly. I decided that an electric kettle with different temperature settings would be a nice replacement. I've been using the kettle for a couple of weeks now and I really like it. The control you get from the pour is nice as is the ability to specify what temperature you want the water to be. Using the Oolong setting works great for my morning coffee. I feel like boiling water and pouring it out also sanitizes the kettle so I appreciate that. The cord wrap on the bottom of the base is great because you can have the cord the exact length you want so it's not laying all over your counter. I don't need a very long cord and with my previous coffee maker I had to stuff the cord behind it. If I could change one thing it would be to have the max file line not just on the handle side of the kettle but a line all the way around. How the lighting is in my kitchen it's difficult to get a good angle to see the max fill line early in the morning. I can't comment yet on the longevity but if feels very sturdy and well built. I also like the color and overall appearance on my counter. It's much more visually appealing than my previous option.

When we made the switch to a pour over coffee set up, we quickly realized we needed a gooseneck kettle as regular kettles dribble and make a mess when trying to pour slowly. This kettle is attractive, easy to use, and has five specific temperatures depending on your needs. I also really like the "Hold Temp" setting which maintains a steady temperature during the prolonged pour over process. If filled to the MAX water line, it takes about 4 minutes to come to 205 degrees for coffee. Highly recommend this kettle!

EDIT TO ORIGINAL: Added a star. After I submitted the review below, customer service emailed me with increased effort to help out. I'm glad that they did. They sent a replacement unit and now the random startup issue is gone. I was really hoping to bump this to five stars but, alas, the replacement doesn't keep it boiling either. Just like the original one I had, brings it to a boil every ~5 minutes instead of just keeping it boiling constantly. Not sure what's going on. Maybe there's a setting that I can change in the app. Anyway, as I said in the original review, this issue is tolerable as I'm not THAT much of a coffee snob. Hot enough is not enough for me. The increase in rating is mainly for customer service paying attention. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I emailed Cosori support about my issues with this product but they said that they couldn't help me because I was outside of the warrantee window. Understandable, but now I have to review it based only on how good or bad the product is. It started out absolutely fine. Practically the only thing for which I use it is boiling water for coffee and, for the first ~6 months, it did that just fine. And I made full use out of the "hold temperature" function which will maintain the desired temperature rather than just reaching it and then turning off. However, after that point, the "hold temperature" function stopped working for boiling water. It'll keep it hot but it won't keep it boiling. I made the mistake of accepting this flaw because, as long as my homemade coffee is tasting 10x better than whatever they sell at Starbucks, I considered it good enough. Now, three years later, the kettle has started to do weird things. It will start boiling water with no one pushing a button. It will not register a “cancel” button press and continue heating water until it's unplugged. Occasionally, both of those problems happen at the same time which becomes a real problem when there’s no water in it. So, as of right now, it will get water hot enough (but not boiling) for coffee and it will randomly turn on only once or twice a month. I'll still be using it, because I'm saving up my budgeted fun money for the Fellow Stagg and that'll take time, and it does still make adequate water for coffee, but... if you decide to purchase this, don't forget that it comes with a two-year warrantee.

Unplug the kettle and let it cool. 2. Wipe the inside and base with a soft, damp cloth—avoid getting the underside socket wet. 3. Dry completely after every use. Never immerse the kettle or base in water. 🔹 Weekly Descaling: 1. Unplug the kettle and pour out all water. 2. Add ½ cup vinegar or squeeze in half a lemon. 3. If needed, scrub with a non-scratch sponge. 4. Add 2 cups of water, boil, and pour it out. 5. Wipe away any scale and dry well. 6. Repeat as needed. Quick Tip: For light buildup, mix 3 tbsp baking soda with ½ cup vinegar, swirl, wipe gently, and rinse. I’ve also created my own habit: sometimes I just boil vinegar and filtered water using the “Black Tea” preset, pour it out, let the kettle air dry upside down, and finish drying with a paper towel. It keeps the kettle clean and ready. This kettle has become an essential part of my daily routine. Whether you love coffee or loose-leaf tea, it delivers precision, quality, and ease—as long as you take care of it. Highly recommend it.

I've had my eye on this kettle for some time. I didn't need wifi, so got the regular. The range of choices for the temperature are great. We don't do pour over coffee, so I got it purely for the aesthetic. It looks great and performs well. I like the beeps when it's done. My Amazon basic one didn't beep so I wouldn't realize it was ready. Construction is metal which is great. The max line is a little hard to see, but worked great! Only had it about a week, but used it every day for tea.

the kettle does not deserve the 2 star rating, but i have done this so as to highlight that the item only works on 110V and is thus not suitable for the South Africa. I have used this item elsewhere and it a well made and good item. Be aware it is not suitable for use on our 220V system. I was so looking forward to receiving it.

I’ve been really happy with this kettle. It’s a great combination of price, features, and design, and it works really well for both coffee and tea. One of my favorite things about it is that it pairs with my phone. Being able to control the kettle and set the temperature from the app is a really nice convenience, especially when I’m making pour-over coffee and want the water at a specific temperature. It gives it a much more modern feel compared with a basic kettle. It also heats up the water surprisingly quickly and gets it to the temperature I want without having to wait around for very long. The gooseneck design is great for pour-over coffee since it gives me much better control over the flow, but it’s just as useful for making tea. I really like the overall design as well. It looks modern and clean on the kitchen counter and doesn’t feel like an appliance that I need to hide away when I’m not using it. For the price, I think this is a really good value. You get the temperature control, phone connectivity, fast heating, and a nice gooseneck design without having to spend a fortune. Overall, definitely 5 stars from me. It’s become a really useful part of my coffee and tea setup, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a modern kettle with precise temperature control.

購入してから結構な日にちが過ぎました。 今までの使用しての感想を書きます。 最近は増税クソメガメのせいでいろいろな物が値上がりしてきてドリンクも気軽に自販機で買えなくなってきました。 そろそろ冷えてきて水筒で温かいコーヒーやら持って行ってるのですが、その時にこの温度設定が非常に役に立ちます。 家では設定通りコーヒーなら90度に沸かして飲んでますが、水筒にこの温度を入れて持っていくといざ飲むときに熱くて飲めなくて火傷しそうになります。 ストローで熱いの飲んだことがある人は解ると思います。それと同じで地獄を見ます。 それから何回か試して、70度が程よく熱く飲めると解りそれ以降はそうしてます。 他のケトルでも温度設定があって、物によっては63度とか細かく設定できるみたいですけど何回もタッチ連打しないといけないぽいのでめんどくさいなと。 このケトルなら電源ボタンと好みの設定温度をタッチするだけなので朝の忙しいときには少しでも手間が減った感じでありがたいです。 使いやすさと見た目のかわいさも気に入ってるので☆5でございます。
