Matfer Bourgeat Exoglass® High Temperature Pelton Spatula, Grey

I purchased both the Matfer Spatula and Mercer spatula. The Matfer brand is definitely the better of the two. It has a much thinner edge. I use a stainless steel pan and the eggs didn't break when flipped. Very easy to clean and the quality is excellent. The gray color is very nice too. Although the cost is more than double, it's worth it!

Terrific fish spatula for non-stick cookware. Fairly agile! I have two! Makes flipping salmon filets easier! This spatula does not withstand high temps. When not in use, one must remove it from the pan.

The Matfer Exoglass spatula has a clear advantage over the imitators, in that the material is truly high heat resistant. Still, you have to be careful with using this on stainless steel. It IS possible to melt under high enough heat. My only gripe about this new version is that the edges along the inside of the slots are extremely sharp! They don't need to be. I think it's a byproduct of manufacturing. I used some micromesh to smooth them down, because those edges are sharp enough to slice through finger flesh if you're not careful!

This has been an everyday tool in my kitchen for years. Just purchased another for my adult child setting up their own kitchen. (It was happily received, as said child has cooked many meals in my kitchen using this spatula.) Not the first time I've gifted this, one of my favorite all-purpose tools that feels great in the hand and accomplishes many scraping, stirring, lifting, flipping, and serving tasks with comfort and easy (dishwasher or hand-wash) cleanup!

Works great. Easily moves food sound in a non-stick pan

Recommended by a friend, very useful shape and much better than the other stuff tucked away in the drawer. Great with fried eggs, it's our go to spatula. Not the cheapest but excellent
