I’ve found that you need to bend the front brackets to get the holes to line up by process of trial and error. Take it slow and just start the bolts in the rear with a couple turns, then push and pull the rack to fit the middle bolts. Finally push up under the front and bend to adjust the brackets the best you can. Eventually it’ll come together. But yes, it’s clear not a lot of care was taken in the design and fit of this aftermarket rack. ### ⭐⭐⭐ It’ll do *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2020* The trim around the actual roof rack is loose and the brackets them at screw it into place came bent. Some maneuvering got it as close as I could. Roof rack looks fine but doesn’t sit completely flat to the roof no matter the adjustment. Unsure how much better an OEM would sit on the roof but I would take a gander at other Tacoma’s with this similar roof rack and check out how well it sits on the roof. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Be patient with the installation. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United States on March 2, 2020* Item arrived quickly. The plastic parts seem like they could be more robust- I'm not confident of the load rating. Some short screws were longer than other short screws, so that had me guessing a bit. Make sure to remove the crossbar to facilitate installation, and don't tighten everything up until all screws have been started. Some didn't line up perfectly-one of Murphy's Laws- interchangeable parts don't. The seal that lies on the truck roof doesn't completely seal- had a gap on the driver's side inboard (my friend's OEM rack had the same issue).
