I'm just turning 73 and... sad to say, it doesn't work for me any more. I tried to find a customer service number to consult with them as to what is the next step when this one doesn't cover the gray/white any longer. As is typical with most large mainstream conglomerates, I could not talk with a human. Since I was about 55, this product did an amazing job of reducing the gray that was creeping up, even my own wife/kids did not detect it but... I did :) I love it. It seems that when the hair is mostly white and changes it's composition, this product fails. It just left a yellowish tinge to my hair. I gave it 2-3 more tries without success. I'm so sad that my "old buddy" isn't here to help me postpone my latter years. :( lol.. I'm just hitting the gym harder and am on a "4-pack" - moving up to a six pack. "Catch me if you can" :)

I've used this product for 10 or so years and I like it. I like it because it is reasonably priced and I can do the coloring myself, when I want.It is kind of a surprise every time to see how much color, how much darkening you are going to get. I don't understand the science employed here: are the chemicals on the outside of the hair or is it absorbed? And its a "Touch Of Grey," so how do the chemicals affect some hair and not all the hairs?Anyway, you apply it, a little or a lot, and wait for a while and then shower/shampoo. That day, your hair will be darker. But the next day, it will be darker still. And the next day, it will be a little darker still, but that's it. So, time is a factor and it is unknown as to where it will end up.But, with all that, it works, it lasts, it's easy to apply, and I like the outcome. I'm 69 years old and have been grey/white for over 10 years.Tip: I can use one kit for two applications. I usually use the ToG right after a haircut and then again, not on the next haircut, but the one after that! Two for one! Extra good value.

UPDATE - After using this several times, I think the product has several problems. 1. It's not durable. I notice it washes out after a few weeks, at least some of it. 2. Relatedly, some can rub off on my hands or towel when I work some hair products in. 3. While it washes out of my hair, any stray drops that seems to fall on my floor or painted walls when applying are difficult to remove. Bleach is most helpful. Despite these hassles, the result seems natural and I use it.ORIGINAL REVIEW - I tried this for the first time recently. I was very cautious and a bit nervous about what might happen, but having taken a chance, I'm happy with the result. It seems many of those who were unsatisfied did not use the product correctly. To those I say, "GUYS, you are messing with your hair. Read the instructions, spend a few minutes doing research, watch the YouTube 2 minute instructional video."Pros- Works fast and at home- A very natural look that turned back the clockI do think the manufacturer could do a better job with the instructions and offering tips. Here's a few -TIPS1. Apply hand lotion or vaseline to your ears or hairline before applying to ensure you don't stain your skin.2. Don't let it sit for the full 5 minutes on your first use. I suggest 3. You can be more aggressive later.3. Reuse what's left. I have short hair and don't need a full tube. After applying, squeeze the air out of the tube and cap it tightly and you can use it again later and save money.4. Pick the right color! Some people seemed to have a problem in this area. Again, be cautious with your first application if you are unsure of the color you chose.I would say I am naturally 70/30 brown to gray right now. a 3-4 minute application I would guess took my hair to 85/15. That may not sound like much, but it's subtle yet noticeable, and is exactly what I wanted for the first application.

I'm 54 and 75% gray. I wanted to get back to 50/50 salt & pepper so it wouldn't be a shock, but definitely no Lego head. This was perfect. I applied after a haircut. I used about half a tube. after washing it out, I thought it did nothing. after one day, it was just barely noticeable, but after about 3-4 days it gradually darkens some of the hairs and now it's perfect. I have no idea what the black magic is behind it. It looks and feels very natural. Nobody said a word, but when I ask my friends, they say yeah,I guess now that you mention it, it's a bit darker. But for me I know it's exactly what I want. No drastic shock. it's like I rolled it back 5 years. highly recommend!

I set these out for my husband and he will use them much to my surprise and satisfaction! Easy to use and not too messy!

I'm not sure why but this product, which I have used many times after purchasing at retail stores, provided little to no color. Perhaps the seller is selling expired or recalled product. I spent time to use the product before getting on a plane and now I will not have colored my hair. If the seller wishes to contact me to challenge my review and make it right, I welcome it.

This is BY FAR the most natural hair color I've ever used for my white/gray, and that includes going to several professional hair salons!**VERY IMPORTANT TIP**Make sure you use the entire tube and rub it in really good, completely saturating your entire head. Then let it sit AT LEAST 30 minutes. This yields the best coverage.Don't listen to the instructions to leave it in for only 5-10 minutes...it won't do anything, especially for very light gray and white.

A game changer for me. Easy, so easy. If you can comb your hair you can do this.Looks good. Natural.
