Omgosh what great set of blades. Thick and sharp. Perfect fit on my old LT 1000 42”. Id say others are probably the best blades I’ve ever bought. Btw my mower is 26 years old. Imagine the blades I’ve gone through.

These blades seem very solid for the price. Some folks using other brands had complained about "thin blades bending easily"... I don't think these are going to suffer that fate. The metal is quite thick. I believe they are a good value for the money. I gave only 4 stars because I'm waiting to wear out my existing blades before installing these, but having several decades of experience with lawn mower blades, I do expect these to perform well. Yes, I would buy them again. Yes, I would recommend them to a friend.

11/2023 Updated after 3 seasons of use - These blades have been tortured by my maple tree roots. Finally this year, I heard some major complaints from under the deck and decided to replace. See the photos - the blades didn't look too bad even though the roots had pushed the deck metal into the blades!! I replaced the blades anyway. But these blades are tough!! 2021 - Update after several weeks of use - these are excellent blades. They have stood up to roots and continue cutting/mulching the grass nicely. I will definitely buy these again!! Original review - Installed on my Sears Craftsman 42 inch tractor. First mowing and my lawn looks good. They are thicker and heavier than the standard Sears mulching blades. The sharpened area of the blade is shorter than the original blades so I wondered if they would cut the grass ok - but they work fine. I think because of the thickness they will be more durable than the Sears.

I wasn't expecting much when I ordered these, but I must say that when they arrived I was pleasantly surprised. Even though they cost a little more than others sold on amazon they are actually well worth it! I just got done sending back a different set of blades by Maxpower. When they arrived they actually weren't from Maxpower at all, they were a much cheaper set of blades (copperhead) with a sticker covering up the name. So I of course sent them back and went back on amazon to find a better replacement. I came across these, but they cost more. At first I was going to just pass them by, but now I'm really glad that I didn't. These blades are super thick, hand balanced, and they are the only blades that I've come across that still mark which side is the "grass side". Because they are hand balanced your mowers bearings will last longer, and your mower won't vibrate as much (less wear and tear on everything down the road). These are super thick blades and it looks like they will last a long, long time. The extra ten bucks that these cost are more than worth it to me because they are designed, and made so much better than the other blades I've tried. Very happy with this purchase!

The blades are way stronger than the originals and the balance is perfect. I will only buy this product in the future.

Unfortunately, the knives leave a slice of uncut grass between the blades. You'll have to go over these uncut pieces of grass again to cut them properly but it’s increasing your cutting time by 1.5 to 2 times. I took some pictures, but it is not easy to see the problem through some photos. This is disappointing since the blades are well made and balanced. Do not work properly on a Husqvarna YTH22K42 lawn tractor with a 42 inches cutting deck.
