Would the magnets stick to the car your working on? Don’t want to damage paintwork etc…..

The magnets are within the fabric of the wristband and would not present a scratching hazard on their own, however, other articles such as nuts, bolts, parts and small tools attached to the band would, so best take care around polished surfaces. I use mine when working on the engine of my narrowboat and it's saved many a futile hunt in the bilges for dropped bits and pieces. A very useful bit of kit...

Is a good gifts idea for dad？

It's a fantastic idea for dad, especially if he loves DIY. It's also great for a gift for mums too. I used it when repairing the cork on the notice board at our local tennis club; I simply put the band on my wrist and piled a few tacks on top of each other on the magnets and they piled up like a dream. Suitable for male or female; anyone who likes DIY. It saves dropping tacks on the floor and having to hunt for them. The magnets on the band are really powerful. It's a great product.
