Soft, absorbent and doesn’t slip
This bath mat is exactly what I was looking for. It feels soft and cushy under my feet, and it soaks up water really well without staying soggy. Even after multiple washes, it’s held its shape and still looks brand new. I also love that it has a non-slip backing — it stays in place even on my tile floor, which makes it feel safe and sturdy. The size is perfect for right outside the shower, and the neutral color blends in with my bathroom nicely. If you want a mat that’s comfortable, absorbent, and actually stays put, this one’s a winner.

The cats love it!
I put this in the bathroom by the opening of the cat box. It goes almost the length of the bathtub too so it looks like a bathmat instead of a cat mat. It looks great and works great. The cats love it, so soft and keeps the litter that comes out of the litter box with the cats from getting all over the floor. Just shake it back into the box.

Clean and neat
We just renovated a bathroom and wanted simple white floor mats for each sink and at shower exit. These were just the right size and feel soft to the touch; like the rubberized backing too. Too soon to know how absorbent or how well they’ll hold up.

Finally Found a Bath Mat That Actually Stays Put AND Stays Fluffy!
I'll be honest - I didn't think a bath mat review would be this detailed, but after going through five different mats in two years (all disappointing), I wanted to share what makes this Lifewit mat different. This is the first one that's actually lived up to its promises after months of real family use. THE PROS - What Actually Works: Non-Slip Backing is Genuinely Effective: This was my biggest concern after my mother-in-law slipped on our old mat. The rubber backing on this Lifewit mat GRIPS. I've tested it on tile, vinyl, and even slightly damp floors - it doesn't budge. My kids jump out of the shower onto it, and it stays firmly in place. This is the most important feature, and it delivers. Absorbency is Impressive: The microfiber really soaks up water quickly. My teenager takes 20-minute showers and steps out soaking wet - this mat absorbs the water immediately and doesn't leave puddles on the bathroom floor. By the time the next person showers (usually an hour later), it's mostly dry. Softness is Luxurious: Stepping onto this mat feels like stepping onto a cloud. The shaggy microfiber is legitimately plush and comfortable. It's thicker than most budget bath mats (probably about 0.8-1 inch thick), which makes it feel premium. Machine Washable Without Issues: I've washed this thing 20+ times in four months (family of four, heavy use). It comes out of the washer looking like new every time. No rubber backing deterioration, no shedding, minimal color fading. I wash on cold, tumble dry on low, and it's perfect. Size is Perfect for Standard Bathrooms: The 32"x20" dimensions cover enough space without overwhelming a small bathroom. Fits perfectly in front of our standard tub/shower combo. No Chemical Smell: Some cheap bath mats reek of rubber or chemicals. This one had zero odor out of the package. Dries Relatively Fast: While not instant-dry, it's ready for the next person within 1-2 hours. Hang it up after use and it dries even faster. THE CONS - The Reality Check: Sheds Initially: For the first 2-3 washes, there was noticeable lint in the dryer trap. This is normal for microfiber products, but be prepared. After the initial washes, shedding became minimal. Shows Every Piece of Hair and Lint: The dark blue color shows light-colored pet hair, dust, and lint very clearly. If you have pets or family members with long hair, you'll be vacuuming this mat more often than you'd like. Light colors would hide this better. Not Ideal for High-Traffic Commercial Use: This is a residential-grade mat. If you're looking for something for a gym or hotel bathroom with 50+ uses per day, this won't hold up. Edges Can Curl Slightly When New: Right out of the package, the edges had a slight curl from being rolled up. This resolved after a few days of use and the first wash, but initially it looked a bit wonky. Not Suitable for Heated Floors: The rubber backing can potentially be affected by constant heat. If you have radiant floor heating, check with the manufacturer first. Blue Color is Darker Than Pictures: The "blue" is more of a navy/denim blue rather than a bright sky blue. Still nice, but if you're trying to match specific bathroom decor, be aware it's on the darker side. REAL-WORLD FAMILY TESTING: With Kids: My 6-year-old and 13-year-old use this daily. No slipping incidents, handles wet feet perfectly. Easy to shake out when they inevitably miss the bathmat and get it wet around the edges. With Pets: Our cat occasionally walks on it with wet paws. The mat doesn't hold odors, which is a big plus. Easy to vacuum pet hair off between washes. In a Small Bathroom: Fits perfectly without blocking the toilet or cabinet doors. Doesn't feel cramped. After Multiple Washes: Still plush, still absorbent, backing still grippy. No signs of wear and tear yet. COMPARISON TO OTHER MATS I'VE TRIED: vs. Gorilla Grip Mat: Lifewit is softer and slightly more absorbent. Gorilla Grip backing was stiffer. vs. Cheap Amazon Basics Mat: No comparison - this is far superior in every way. The Amazon Basics mat started slipping after two washes. vs. Target Threshold Mat: Similar quality but Lifewit holds up better after washing and has better non-slip backing. OVERALL VERDICT: For $15-20 (price varies), this is hands-down the best value bath mat I've found. It hits the sweet spot of safety, comfort, absorbency, and durability. Is it perfect? No. But it's the closest I've come to the "ideal" bath mat without spending $50+ on luxury brands. WHO SHOULD BUY THIS: Families with kids who need serious non-slip protection Anyone who wants hotel-quality softness at home People tired of replacing bath mats every few months Those with elderly family members (safety is legit) Budget-conscious shoppers who don't want to sacrifice quality WHO SHOULD SKIP THIS: People with very light-colored pets (hair shows easily) Those needing extra-large sizes (this is standard size only) Anyone wanting bright, vibrant bathroom colors Commercial/high-traffic facilities PRO TIPS: Wash before first use to remove any loose fibers Vacuum weekly to keep it looking fresh Hang to dry after each shower for best longevity Use cold water and low heat in dryer Shake it out outside occasionally to refresh BOTTOM LINE: This mat does exactly what a bath mat should do: prevents slips, absorbs water, feels great underfoot, and survives regular washing. After four months, I'm impressed enough that I bought a second one for our master bathroom.

Cheap and thin, not the same quality as two years ago
We had bought these rugs in two sizes, the shower mat size and the bathtub or vanity mat size two years ago and they were super thick and plush and wonderful quality, we had to order the shower size to replace the other one because our foster puppy chewed it up and this bath mat is NOT anything like the one we had before. It’s super thin and not soft or plush at all. Looks and feels very cheap!

Overall quality 5, usefulness as bath mat 1
I was thrilled to unbox this and see and feel its quality. It's remarkably soft, appears to be very well made, and feems wonderful underfoot -- it's even become one of our dog's favorite places to nap, which is high praise. So from that perspective, I would give this a strong five stars. However, as a bath mat (or in our case, a shower mat) I can only give it a one star, for two reasons. First, absorbancy: The fibers are amazingly soft, but it does not absorb nearly as well as it should. To ensure that I wasn't imagining it, I set this new mat and our old one side-by-side and stepped out from the shower with one foot on each. When I finished drying everything except the bottoms of my feet, I stepped off the towels onto the tile and while there was almost no wet footprint from our old mat, there was a significant amount of moisture still on the foot that was on this mat. This then exacerbates issue #2, which is that it is NOT a good mat for someone with any balance or orthopedic issues. Not only does the lack of absorbancy create a fall risk, the fibers of the rug itself are long and slide over each other to the point that though the bottom of the rug is fully stable on the floor, the fibers slip against each other so much that it could create just enough instability to increase fall risk. We are able to use this in front of the toilet instead of outside of the shower, where absorbancy isn't needed and there is less of a fall risk, but we had hoped for better things.

Soft like angels wings
YOU GUYS! this is easily the SOFTEST rug I have come across in my life!! Also, it is so thick (refer to picture with hand sunk into rug) and just gooshy! To sink my feet in this baby after my shower was absolute heaven.... I believe a memory flashed of my mother wrapping me up in a towel after a bath when I was little girl, and suddenly I got a whiff of grandma’s fresh baked cookies, and I swear I heard children laughing. I’m telling you, this rug only brings you good! I did just receive this rug yesterday, so as far as how it will hold up- time will tell. I am ordering a back up for each rug (I ordered the 24x16 & 59x20), in case the company discontinued the rugs. The backing to the rug seems sturdy enough, but I will be washing them in the delicate cycle and then air drying them. **If you’re having a hard time deciding, THIS IS YOUR SIGN- get it!!
