Buyer beware....used items
Ordered two, what i thought, were new drives, one was the other had 17430 hours on it that's almost 2 years (17520) of hours, no where did it say that these drives were not new. both of them failed tests, sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdi bs=4096 count=10 oflag=direct dd: error writing '/dev/sdi': Input/output error 1+0 records in 0+0 records out 0 bytes copied, 0.746321 s, 0.0 kB/s sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/sdo bs=4096 count=10 oflag=direct dd: error writing '/dev/sdo': Input/output error 1+0 records in 0+0 records out 0 bytes copied, 0.224778 s, 0.0 kB/s this is a seller problem, not a drive problem

You might need to reformat them
Several drives I received weren't working, but it turns out that some vendors use a different sector size with more parity bits. sg3_utils can fix it, there are several guides on how to accomplish that online.
