Review: Extra Variance from Game to Game - Not that any particular playthrough of Scythe will be the same, but if you play every week or so with your friends, it starts to feel a little stale. With this Modular board, it creates a different layout each time, making each game feel different and exciting! The only thing that could make this better is if it came with one or two more modular tiles so there could be more potential layouts, or if there were completely different layouts on both sides to make each game more unique.

A: No. This is the same size as the original. There is no expanded board for this module. Each side is this board had a unique layout.

This board replace base board when used. It doesn't support the expanded board. New board supports modular tiles.

**Q: What is the length and width of this board in inches?**
A: It is roughly 25x32 inches. If you buy the extension, it grows to 32x37 inches.

**Q: Is the 'other' sode if the board the normal map that cones with the base game or are they both random?**
A: It's a smaller version of the original board.  The game tiles pictures can then be placed.on top of the sections and rotated to make new maps.  This is best if you are playing routinely with the same person and it's just the two of you.

Not that any particular playthrough of Scythe will be the same, but if you play every week or so with your friends, it starts to feel a little stale. With this Modular board, it creates a different layout each time, making each game feel different and exciting! The only thing that could make this better is if it came with one or two more modular tiles so there could be more potential layouts, or if there were completely different layouts on both sides to make each game more unique.

Scythe is my most played game in the collection. It makes it to the table a few times a month. This modular board is perfect for players that have played a lot. It switches the layout of the board pertaining to the resources and starting positions of all factions. It’s not necessary to purchase if you own scythe but if you play it a lot and need to switch things up then this is a great addition.
