Sizing Claims Too Vague *by J***T on June 28, 2020* I don't know about you all but this shop vacuum hose size thing is ridiculous. Rigid, ShopVac, Craftsman, and whoever else are petty. Either make them the standard sizes, same as standard PVC, or at least be upfront about the connection sizes ID and OD. I got this adapter to attach my Rigid vacuum/Dustopper to my DeWalt mitre saw. The hose from the vacuum to the adapter is from Rigid (model LA2550 2-1/2 in. x 7 ft. Dual-Flex Tug-A-Long Locking Vacuum Hose for RIDGID Wet/Dry Shop Vacuums). The adapter fits quite snug on the end of the hose. The smaller end does not fit onto the DeWalt saw. I had to heat gun a piece of PVC and stretch it around the end of the adapter. The other end of the PVC was also stretched wider the same amount so that it would fit snug inside of the saw. Other than the questionable sizing claims of the adapter, it works as hoped.
