WORKSHOP Wet/Dry Vacs Shop Vacuum Accessories WS25011A Adapter Attachment, 2-1/2-inch to 1-1/4-inch Universal Hose Adapter for Shop Vacuum Cleaners

This attachment is a necessity for my new Craftsman shop vac since I have to frequently clean out my AC drain lines outside, which are quite a bit smaller than the shop vac hose. It works well suctioning both water and debris. Good fit. Seems sturdy as well.

I used to use a little 2.5 gallon craftsman shop vac that a 1 1/4" hose. I recently upgraded to a large Ridgid shop vac with 2 1/2" hose and I'm able to use all the old attachments on the new shop vac. I'm also able to hook up my Kreg K4 pocket hole jig using this attachment as well. It fits snugly onto attachments and is very useful. Glad I bought it.

I don't know about you all but this shop vacuum hose size thing is ridiculous. Rigid, ShopVac, Craftsman, and whoever else are petty. Either make them the standard sizes, same as standard PVC, or at least be upfront about the connection sizes ID and OD. I got this adapter to attach my Rigid vacuum/Dustopper to my DeWalt mitre saw. The hose from the vacuum to the adapter is from Rigid (model LA2550 2-1/2 in. x 7 ft. Dual-Flex Tug-A-Long Locking Vacuum Hose for RIDGID Wet/Dry Shop Vacuums). The adapter fits quite snug on the end of the hose. The smaller end does not fit onto the DeWalt saw. I had to heat gun a piece of PVC and stretch it around the end of the adapter. The other end of the PVC was also stretched wider the same amount so that it would fit snug inside of the saw. Other than the questionable sizing claims of the adapter, it works as hoped. The plastic maybe a little on the thin side and feels a bit flimsy but I don't expect to toss it around so it should be fine.

We are starting the long process of removing the texture on our ceilings in our home and needed this slick little gadget to hook up the scrapper to the shop vac. It seems sturdy and well-made and best part it fit the scrapper and the shop vac. Now the real work begins.

The large side of this adapter fits the standard 2" fittings used with most dust collection systems. The small side fit my Skil benchtop belt sander perfectly. It was too big to fit any of my hand power tools such as belt or orbital sanders, biscuit joiner or power planer. (It would sure be nice if the manufacturers would get together and standardize the sizes of dust ports!)

The description of the item is unclear. It will not adapt a standard 1 1/4" shop vacuum hose to a DeWalt large diameter vacuum hose or solid tube. The 1 1/4" works fine. The 2 1/2" diameter is to large for DeWalt large diameter vacuum hose and the solid tube.

Exactly what I needed for the connection. Had to search for this product for a while on amazon. Wish the connection was a tiny bit tighter but can use tape to secure. Worked very well.

I searched high and low to find the correct hose adapter to connect the WEN 6369 Drywall Sander to a Rigid 12 gal shop-vac hose. THIS IS THE ONE. Large end of adapter (2 1/2 in) connects on outside of Rigid hose, and the smaller end (1 1/4 in) fits INSIDE the WEN hose. Wa-la. Sand away!

I bought a good used shop vac, with large hose but no extension tubes. This allows me to use tubes and utensils from my smaller vac. Worth the few bucks I paid for it.
