The one i received does not have a display screen. Why did you ship a different product?

Mine has a display screen. The screen is very helpful once you know how it works. There are no instructions. There are 2 sliding pins. Each pin slides by itself. Line the pins up with the + and - on the battery. You know you did it right when plugged in to power and the LCD screen gives you bars that blink on and off. Solid green with bars at the beginning means it's not connected right. For example, my battery is mostly discharged. Plugged in now it is giving me 4 bars, with one bar staying on and the other 3 bars going off and on. That means it's charging. Once all 4 bars stay on, it's fully charged.

Will this work for a Samsung galaxy amp prime

I looked up what the battery looks like for your phone and if what I am looking at is correct I don't see why it wouldn't work. It works with my note 3 flawlessly.
