Excellent Value. Sturdy, Sharp, and Well Made
A very nice blade, hands down. Fit and finish: 4.8 easy. Is it sharp? Uhh yeah... Could it be sharper? I guess... Do I want it sharper? Heck NO! As it is, it glides through thick skin Roma tomatoes with ease. Bought this blade to attach to my hiking backpack when I'm in the High Desert, and out where the buses don't run. For myself, I don't need it any sharper. If it was, it would be more of a hazard to me as I'll be handling it frequently. What's weird is the blade measures 12" from tip to the brass, But it looks and feels like 16". Perfect for what I wanted.

I was pleasantly suprised
Nothing wrong with this knife at all. Delivered as described has Good looks everything was solid and well fit I don't understand what the negative reviews were for. It's not razor sharp but certainly sharp enough to harm something. It can be easily sharpened though. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Great tanto for traditional events
Great “dress tanto” for occasions. Habaki fits snuggly, but not an obstruction. Tsuka wrap is tight and fits the hand well. Great product for the price. This is a “bushi tanto” ie the “smallest sword” so it is a hefty tanto that can effectively block and counter. Sharpness would be the only critique; was sharp, but could’ve been better.

Very sharp
Great look and craftsmanship. However, it is very sharp. It was easily able to cut a piece of paper in half! Looks great on display!

Basically a wall hanger.
Just okay. The mekugi (pin) seems to be glued, so there doesn't look like a way to check to see if it is full tang or to replace any parts without destroying it. Also it is as dull as a butter knife, and is loose in the saya (scabbard). I had another one in my list, but I don't think that I will be buying another one.

Pleasantly suprised
I wasn't expecting a lot due to the price but, I was pleasantly surprised. The fit and finish was very good for the price point and the blade was very sharp right out of the box. I will definitely buy another one in a different color. This is a good buy.
