Such great details!
Great quality and the details in the sculpture and the paint job are great! Cute for play but also so educational for little kids to learn about new animas.

The best hyena figurine I have
This little guy is super finely painted. He's a little darker than in the picture (like burnt caramel), but I really like it. As a hyena admirer, I have three other hyena figurines from other companies, but this one is by far the best quality. It has a very likeable face. It's smaller than the Safari Ltd one, but bigger than the hyena from the Schleigh gladiator set and my striped hyena (not sure on the brand). I'm really glad I got it.

Fits in perfect with Africa play or Lion King/Guard play
Perfect size to be a hyena in Lion Guard or Lion King, or just Africa play. There is a shortage of hyenas for play. The never even made them for Lion King or Guard except for miniature ones. I plan to buy a couple more because hyenas live in packs, MOM!

My preschooler grandson is deep into the animal kingdom and knows obscure animals and their names so he expects toys to look like the real deal haha. He loves it!

A hyena in hyena's clothing
Pretty sure this mold is supposed to be a striped hyena, not a spotted hyena. The ears and fur density don't match the spotted hyena either in other figurines or in photographs. If I pull up a picture of a striped hyena, however, it's almost identical. It's got a nice paint job for what it is though. Scales well with the Schleich, Safari Ltd., and Mojo hyena figurines for your desks or if your child wants to build their own clan. Every time I look at it I can't help but take note of how off the head looks compared to the other hyenas on my desk, but hopefully with time that subsides.

Very real like. Perfect size!
Very real looking! It was exactly what we were needing and looking for, for my daughter's science project. See attached. Just the right size...not too big and not too small!
