We bought 2 of these for my husband’s knees. He’s worn them for a few weeks now and swears by them. He’s had great pain in his knees and says they really help him a lot. They’re lightweight and don’t slip. They’re well made and can be adjusted to your size.

I play fast-paced, competitive tennis twice a week and have patella tendonitis. My sports physician originally gave me this strap to use when I play tennis to keep the tendon below my knee more stable. It works! A couple of times over the last few years, I forgot to wear the strap and I definitely felt the difference - for days afterwards, my knee was killing me. With the strap, knee discomfort afterwards is minimal to none. The durability of the product is also very good (have had current one for 2-3 years), even with machine washing, although with my new one I will probably just hand wash to keep in like-new condition. I decided to re-buy this product after comparing it to others also due to reports of others slipping off the knee during strenuous exercise. This product is one-size-fits-all and stretches to fit perfectly. I might have to re-tighten it once or twice over a 2-3 hour match for better support, but it has never fallen off. Highly recommend to anyone with knee problems.

EDIT: February, 2019 - velcro wears out after a time. Ordered two new ones - ***design has changed significantly.***The rubber piece is smaller, the material and velcro are different. Hope the comfort level and relief are the same. Why the change? Have two torn menisci in left knee, pain is intermittent, most of the time no pain. Strap helps with tennis, would not play without. I'm an over 65 tennis player who plays singles 3-4 times a week. I had meniscus surgery 20 years ago, and knee has been getting progressively more painful. Had three Euflexxa injections which offered relief for only a few weeks. I thought my tennis career might be ending, when I met a guy on the court who recommended this strap. The results were miraculous! No pain, on or off the court. I'm running like a 20-year-old, and playing great. I don't know exactly how or why it works (either did knee doc) but don't care. If you have knee pain, try this!

I thought other reviewers who claimed that these straps could remedy runners knee / jumpers knee were nuts. But for the money, I figured what have I got to lose? Apparently, what I had to lose was patellar tendon pain. When I run with this on, I don't get it. To be clear, my knee doesn't bother me when I run, but afterward, when bending around the house. When I run with this on, I don't get that knee hangover. These are so cheap I'm buying several so I've got them stashed in my race go-bag, suitcase, etc. This strap is shorter and about the right length for my kinds skinny runner leg. As opposed to the Mueller strap, this one's got a piece of foam glued in that compresses the tendon. The Mueller's got a piece of flexible tubing in a fabric sleeve. I thought the foam would tear off, but I've got a couple marathons in with this one and it looks like it's new. I prefer this one sometimes because it's the right length, whereas with the Mueller, I have a lot of overhang. However, the foam cushion in this one sometimes bugs me a little as it's kind of sticky. That means once it's in place, it stays there pretty well. But it also means you cant' just kind of nudge it into place because it will rip your leghairs off and you'll cry like a Teaparty voter.

The strap does what it's supposed to which is a definite pro - relieves pain and stress on the knee when walking and exercising. The con is that it's extremely uncomfortable as there is nothing between the velcro and your skin in the back where it closes which causes raw skin on the back of your knee. A great idea but the design could do with some improving.

Been having runners knees and i am so glad i purchased these patella strap. Now i don’t have pain when i run. Been having them for a while and still works like new, not like other ones i have purchased.

In the past couple of years, my knees have developed a sharp pain when I run, hike, or inline skate. I tried knee sleeves at first but they chafed above, behind, and below the knee. I didn't understand how a knee strap could work, but it does. I can now do any leg exercise I want; I wear these knee straps on both knees every time. These straps have a thinner profile than other straps and padding where it matters: Over the patella. Highly recommend.

If you suffer from chronic knee tendonitis like I do, then this strap is what you need. I wear them when I work out and I don't feel any pain in my knees. The straps limit the range of movement for the kneecap and subsequently the stress on the tendons. I sometimes wear them at work to make easier to go up and down stairs.

This is my third McDavid Jumpers Knee Strap. I love them. I've had knee pain for three decades after dislocating my patella multiple times in my early 20s. It was only a year ago when I thought of trying a knee strap to help my knee track without grinding. I researched and McDavid's strap was highly rated so I ordered one. I was shocked at how much the pain was reduced with the strap. I've tried other brands, but they took longer to put on didn't stay in place, or didn't apply pressure properly. The straps wash well. My first band is now losing some of the Velcro grip, but that was after a couple hundred uses. I wish there was a wider assortment of colours, but that's the only downside.

This really helped my patella tendonitis and allowed me to overcome it while I was still exercising.

Huge support, got me through my 70.3 training and really helps with the day to day such as stairs and driving.

The nature of my work means i spend at least 12 to 15 hours a day standing on my feet and at least a quarter of that time is running up and down flights of stairs. I recently developed a pinching sensation just below my right knee cap every time i put my weight on the leg which was not in a straight limb manner, making the stairs an uncomofortable part of my day. After looking up a few dozen articles i realized i was developing patella tendonitis and looked for a solution. I could not believe the relief i was looking for would come in such a simple form. TBH i chose The McDavids product based solely on budget reasons as i did not want to lay out too much on trialing such an item (some being 3 or 4 times the price). The quality of the manufacturing seems quite high, with both the feel and ease of use to be excellent as well. Cleaning is a simple matter and does not damage the item as i thought it may. The end result now is i feel better when wearing this during my working days and have noticed a major reduction in discomfort AND and increase in strength when not wearing it.
