Supplier: this is chinese not japanese?? the japanese star anise is poisonous!! any documentation??

I made Anise Extract with mine. They are incredibly flavorful. I made baked goods and I am still alive nor did anyone get sick.

What is the Country of origin

China. If you look carefully at the packaging, "product of China" is printed across the bottom of the label. The distributor is a U.S. company with the word 'natural' in its title and I think it is totally likely that this product has been in the U.S. for a long time. If it shipped in a container ship, it has not shipped recently. The distributor is NaturalStyle USA
